That would make 3 winners in 39 years...was a very close thing though by the picture below😀. That was an exciting Cup, was'nt it? Just kept pulling more and getting further in front, then the owner had a heart attack in the birdcage I recall?

Whatever or whoever you think will win it, they still have be driven good. Addington has found a few Aussie's out in the ensueing years, and have found wanting that last couple of hundred metres. Kerryn Manning brilliant with the step and run , much like Lightening Blue(2 winners in 35 years), so if he can get to the lead without working too hard, RnRD must be hard. He'll have the rest of the field driving against him, they'll all want to move in front of him I'm guessing. Hope he settles in okay, makes for an interesting Cup.

That shot there of her is more like the Queen Consort of Addington, under the Norwest sunshine of Canterbury, with the biggest saddlecloth number, just about to do battle with the horse drawn 1.

When she came past me at the 200m mark in ‘that ‘ Cup, she had a length on the leader….what a time to be a young enthusiast. Learnt a lot that day from the man driving the winner, Cool Hand Luke indeed.
