Wtf! So you can now run back and catch for Cambridge 375 races if "capable"! Most were more than capable before they brought in that stupid rule banning it for "health and safety" reasons and now it's OK? That attitude is the reason why greyhound racing in NZ is on its knee's. The 50/50 idea originally came from Aus (nothing good comes out of Aus) and when a dog is injured or spelled the owners their take the dog away from the trainers kennels to rehabilitate it... They don't lump it on the trainer to cover costs when the thing can't race! Regrettably NZ owners must of missed that memo and expect the trainers to cover costs for down time in the kennels, sometimes 3-4mths,do you believe that's fair? Do you think that's good for the industry participants? I'm not talking about group race capable dogs, just average run of the mill "also rans" that many want trained on 50/50.

He might be a broke one too if his mate has charged him trainers fees for the last 4wks! Has every right to of course, if the dogs can't race and the deal is 50/50 then the owners have to dig into their tiny pockets and stump up the bucks... Bet ya they refuse to pay! Tightest owners in the racing industry.

Even taking into account the possible result of the court case I doubt anyone could last longer than 3mths working for him. Imagine that big noting know it all barking orders from over the fence on how to do your job, fark that. He'd be the first one to slag her off if his dogs suddenly started to go off the boil, or sack her if she doesn't abide by his rules. I bet the confidentiality clause in their employment contract is tighter than a fishes rear end!

Yea but they'd be like the cards in the North! Mostly Cambridge, week in week out their card is full of dogs that clearly despise the place but still get nom'd cause they can't get starts at their favoured Akl circuit, or people are using race days as training runs. Quality must prevail.

I would guess its because they assumed the board was made up of people who were : (a) police vetted, (b) held in high regard amongst the Industry and their peers, (c) had integrity, (d) would withhold information privy to board meetings to themselves and (e) had nothing to gain from the privilege of knowing this info. Of which all of them failed the criteria in most ways! I must say I don't believe Rendle is a cheat, true fact. I believe he's so balls deep in investment with the Cole kennels that his potential losses currently leave him with his hands tied and his pants down, he's a very astute business man who I'm sure is looking for an out but likely has little options open for the amount of dogs he's now got, a predicament he has only himself to blame for.

True but Scott was the only one who immediately rang his trainer and said he's just heard that a particular drug was undetectable so offered to supply it to his then trainer. Worse still the homo's defence was he was trying to help out his struggling trainer! Bet ya a hundy he would of been the first to vanish if the trainer used the shit and got caught! Does it not seem mighty strange that all of the names mentioned to do with "skull duggery" have all had connections with the Cole kennel at some stage or another? Just saying? I'm hoping the dog industry doesn't end up in the same situation as when Scott got busted and it took 3yrs for all the "Scott" prefix dogs to filter out of the system. Can GRNZ please allow renaming of all Bigtime dogs to BT.... Whatever (although against naming rules) or at the very least "BeeTee" whatever. This way the Bigtime prefix becomes excitint immediately just like the crooked trainer and his supporters and this abortion of a situation doesn't plague the sport forever as well.

Here's another fact for ya big bazza. Because he's such a self absorbed pull through he never ever punts any other trainers dogs so therefore the TAB should impose a fixed odds late release on his dogs odds only ?. I hope the JCA keep a very tight eye on the betting patterns for his dogs.

Given this guy is the biggest cheat in the game, and also, alongside his best mate, the two biggest punters in the sport, I think the TAB should start setting the win bet fixed odds only 1hr before the first race of every greyhound meet. When this loser has 4 or more dogs in the same race you can bet ya left one the fav doesn't win but his $8+ shot pulls out a blinder. Let's be honest here, if he see's the odds at 8am on raceday and thinks "fark only $2 for that one" but $4 for the kennel mate who almost beat it in a trial last week" then what is to stop him giving the favoured runner 4 pies and a big bowl of kibble half hour before kennelling so his next one definitely beats it this time? I've seen some of his bet slips and we are talking $10k + bets here not 5 each way!
