  1. Yes they still bet on HK…results there from Weds night. No fixed odds on HK racing hence you won’t find any of that…they put the fields up on a Saturday normally once the HK scratchings are confirmed the day before racing with how the ballots are over there. They’ll be up later today
  2. https://www.stuff.co.nz/nz-news/360529059/who-punched-who-assault-greyhound-racetrack-caught-video
  3. They use hawkeye and it would be server based within each broadcast unit
  4. Feel free to email nztr or call the NRB and ask them what the hold up is, rather than moaning about it here
  5. Kurow…would definitely NOT have a high speed fibre link for a once a year track…satellite or Kordia link
  6. Guess it all depends on the trackside crews…a lot of travel for them at this time of the year…especially the southern teams
  7. John is a bitter old Avondale hack
  8. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2024/11/25/jumps-racings-future-decided-in-new-zealand
  9. Reported in Aus media
  10. Dumb comment…one of the better CE’s in the game here
  11. He’s done it before…he was a board member of NZB
  12. All worth an absolute fortune
  13. Good bloke, could train
  14. Were you blind? Most of the way 3 wide no cover and pulled
  15. I think it means on the home turn the rail is out further than the listed course, so B course worked back means that turn rail on the home turn might be C coursee but then works back into the B course on straightening. you think of how many meetings they have, the corners would get hacked up so they have to push the rail wider on the bend
  16. No idea, I am no turf manager but if you regularly follow hk racing they do it all the time and then publish it as a media release.
  17. Renovation Works - Happy Valley turf track 26/09/2024 17:02 The verti-drain and corer were used on the Happy Valley turf track to alleviate surface compaction according to the following schedules: 12 – 19 September A to B Course (Worked Back Position) 26 September C Course (Worked Back Position) and the remaining area On completion of the works, the areas were lightly rolled as per previous practice.
  18. Hong Kong after every meeting verti-drain the strip they have raced on after every meeting. So it’s not new for this type of track
  19. And the joint should be shut down.
  20. Well you would have to ask the club about that…also understand tab network and broadcast infrastructure was also destroyed in the fire
  21. The power switch room was destroyed when the place caught fire earlier in the year
  22. They have the contract I believe just for the studio facilities in Auckland. They don’t provide outside broadcast facilities
  23. Melbourne/Vic Racing https://www.trpbroadcast.com.au/facilities.html https://pro.sony/en_MY/press/delivers-sixth-ob-truck-trp-record-time Victoria Harness & Perth racing use Mediatech/NEP Racing NSW have their own fleet
  24. https://www.howlettdalzell.co.nz/history Geoff Dalzell involved with Thames racing/harness for a long time and the raceday services with Roger Blake
  25. Because before ATR it was Counties Racing Club. They no doubt will probably find the $$ now so they dont have to hire NRS
