  1. They only have 4 broadcast trucks - 2 north island and 2 south island. Greyhound venues run off a total different system from an centralized model. https://www.proavl-asia.com/details/63254-sony-is-off-to-the-races-with-nzrb
  2. Because there is harness racing tomorrow at Hawera and the TAB cannot service both venues in that area with their logistics eg Broadcasting
  3. Forgot to mentioned his new owners changed his name - Huge Wave 😂
  4. See this horse had a trial according to a post I saw online in Honkers this morning…so decided to go have a look…looked a little average
  5. My apologies, I did, yes you in the coast have a SimTrack set. So there are quite a few sets in the country. Te Rapa with a bank of 14, will they sell them to another venue that can only run 14 horse only fields?
  6. Starting gates in NZ Whangarei - SimTrack - 14 Avondale - SimTrack - 16 (let’s hope they sell there’s to someone else) Ellerslie - Steriline - 18 Te Rapa - Steriline - 14 + the clip on set of 4 (clip on may or may not belong to Northern Raceday Services) Northern Raceday Services - Steriline - 14 + clip on set with 4 barriers (mobile set) Hawkes Bay - SimTrack - 16 CD Consortium - SimTrack - 14 + the clip on set with 4 barriers. (Mobile set) Riccarton - Steriline - one 18 set & one 14 set. Ashburton - SimTrack - 14 Timaru/Otago/Southland - SimTrack - 14 (mobile set) Wingatui - SimTrack - 14 + clip on set of 6 barriers Invercargill - SimTrack - 14 SimTrack https://simtrack.com.au/starting-gates/ Steriline https://www.sterilineracing.com/our-products/starting-gates/ remember we got rid of all the old caddy gates individual clubs had because they were not getting the maintenance they required, so clubs used shared gates together that were transportable. Looks like we are somewhat going back to clubs having their own stalls. Obviously they will need sheds to be stored in as well, big sheds as they are long and high.
  7. https://amp.scmp.com/sport/racing/article/3025638/jockey-club-orders-betfair-cease-and-desist-betting-hong-kong-racing
  8. Obviously not partners with hkjc…hkjc does not offer fixed odds apart from jockey challenge. Would be part of any deal no doubt, partner with us but don’t offer fixed odds
  9. TAB.com.au and TAB NZ commingle into HK pools for HK Racing. Hence the pools are so large
  10. You’re wrong - fixed odds never offered on HK racing as TAB NZ is a commingling tote partner of HKJC. tab.com.au don’t offer them either, tote betting only!
  11. Let’s see if he measures up. Rocket Spade hasn’t exactly been a success.
  12. If he turned 4 on August 1 and was bred in the southern hemisphere he is eligible. if he was northern hemisphere bred he would be 3 and would therefore turn 4 on Jan 1. he is 4 so is eligible for the hk derby.
  13. Same as anywhere. 1August and 1January
  14. If he is a 4YO then yes he is
  15. Because they have completely rooted the country. Look at the crime, out of control and all the other absurd bs they have wasted money on. Absolute disgrace.
  16. Entain have put the money up
  17. Economic chickens coming home to roost thanks to the cock up that is the labour govt.
  18. Ahhh it’s actually next week!
  19. Supported by a leading trainer. Leading kiwi trainer Lisa Latta has had a fantastic season to-date, claiming ten stakes victories and amassing over $2.2 million in prizemoney for her connections. One win that stands out for Latta is Platinum Invador’s Gr.2 Auckland Cup (3200m), a horse that was given over 12 months to recover from an injury and nursed back to salute in one of New Zealand’s premier staying events. Awapuni, Latta’s local track, are in preperation for their first race meeting on the new synthetic surface this Sunday, 7 May. Latta has seen the benefits of the synthetic first-hand, currently working her entire stable on the newly implemented surface. “Having that even, consistent surface, all the time, Platinum Invador does a lot of his work on there, because he’s had a tendon injury and you have the same surface every day. I think the track will be a fantastic tool leading into winter and spring.” As we head into the winter months, we can expect trainers like Latta to utilise synthetic tracks, with plenty more race meetings and trials planned on this surface around the country.
  20. Talk going around that Mark Walker is moving to Victoria to set up a Te Akau operation and one of the young assistant’s will train the NZ arm of the operation. Heard it from a few different people now
  21. Injured a few months back…from memory was down south somewhere
  22. Injured a few months back…from memory was down south somewhere
  23. 10% win rate actually. J Size 12% PF Yiu 13% FC LOR/KW LUI 11%
  24. Another winner with a first starter 3yo who was sent out fav…only runner at the meeting. Flying as the commentators said again
  25. Go and listen to some of the interviews he’s done…he’s said it himself! HK is a completely different way of training, not galloped as much with the climate etc
