  1. Have you seen the programme down there no point having 2 &3 year olds down there hardly anywhere to go with them! They are almost as rare as a jumper,
  2. I'm still scratching my head on how they tested the one section of hay the horse already ate to say that it had poppy seeds in it and only the ONE section of hay from a bale that would have between 10 to 15 slices. Because the last time I saw hay cut and flipped to dry it would have spread all through it. If the vet administered it as a therapeutic need then it is a short term pain killer and muscle relaxant that would of been administered no longer than 24 hours prior to the race to have any said effect.
  3. You are very wrong it is a prohibited drug for race day and trials, and if my point is irrelevant your whole paragraph is completely irrelevant and it seems noone else on this site can ever have an opinion on anything because your opinion is the only thing that matters, or that everyone else that does comment is wrong and only you are right. Now if this was a post about Godolphin or some other trainer you would be slamming them. No wonder racing nz is stuffed people like you can't see past there own nose.
  4. My point is they didn't wait to see sample b. Every drug has a certain withdrawal period whether it's 24 hours or two months, and as for morphine look up sir micheal Stoute, ok it's not a performance enhancer but its still a pain killer anyone and everyone can administer such substances, I'm not targeting te akau here but if it was poppy seeds in the hay that is a good excuse to get away with it this time around, At the end of the day what would you be saying if it was Bute, ibuprofen or paracetamol all have different withdrawal times but would they of got in the hay without a helping hand?
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't aiden o brien have to pull his arc de triomphe runners because of a morphine positive from contaminated feed ?
  6. You can ask him anything, you just won't get the answer to anything.
  7. That has to be the worst presented track in history, What on earth are they doing? What would team tangerine think of that? I wouldn't risk a greyhound running on that surface!!
  8. End up a good 2 on the day, I predict dust and rattling times by the second race. The cjc are surely going to get the book thrown at them once more. Maybe the only way to save riccarton is to change the lazy joke of a groundsman!
  9. That's not true they do ride bad horses, they even travel up and down the UK riding allsorts even on the AWT. The whip rule works every where else on this planet so why can't it work in NZ. When watching the extremely poor horsemanship of kiwi jockeys it's far from world class, in fact it's an embarrassment to the world horse race industry. A true horseman/woman does not need to bash a horse to the line it's disgraceful. It's time for NZ racing to be apart of the 21st century and the big wigs need to take them pretty rose glasses off before it really is to late.
  10. Dave ellis is not good for racing, he is all take, take, take and puts very little back in to the industry. What happens to the horses that dont make his high grade? Don't see many sold on to the smaller trainers that where ludicrously outbid the first time around. Te akua is actually a drain on nz racing in my opinion!
  11. Does that arguement anywhere ?
  12. That was a pulling ride if ever was witnessed, Then the fiasco with the same trainer the next race!! It's an absolute disgrace and an extremely bad look for racing industry. I just hope the RIU have a backbone and eliminate this with heavy fines!!
  13. Huey nail on the head
  14. Bout time he got suspended for how they put it lightly careless he is outright dangerous at the moment elbows, cutting people up!! Why is he so sacred?? If any other jockey does what he does then the sport will start killing people and the death rate of jockeys is already high in such a small population.
  15. Sorry can't find it now only bit of evidence is this ***sorry lads. Tab got scared as the boys all jumped in and have refunded us and cancelled all bets***
  16. I have read the the boys get paid brigade all lumped on to a cricket bet the TAB closed betting and refunded all the bets. Surely this is criminal as the feature sporting event was played and the bet would have come in. After reading that artical I will never use the TAB again!!
  17. It's a clear win for SYB to me
  18. It's all well and good until to many people have the same bet ie, boys get paid so no one had a bet and all got refunded the TAB needs rid of asap, It's so bad you couldn't make it up. Absolute BS worse bookie on the entire planet !!!
  19. More trials so nztr can claw back a few cents, they are in need of up to date computers at a guess
  20. Chief stripe, I agree with you on not every runner should be paid out, it should be the first 5 or in the so called big events group 2 and 1 then a 6th place can be added. It to me is foolish to believe money saved from fewer runners will create more races where will the extra meetings fit into the calander?? It's ludicrous sugar coated shite, AND IT AFFECTS EVERYONE IN THE INDUSTRY!!
  21. The Wakefield was a very expensive maiden race today that's for sure. Curious but where does that 15% go thats 30k still taken away from the prize monies advertised I just used a group 1 as an example, now you take $1500 from a 10k race it's and 3k from a 20k and so on so who really is winning this down fall
  22. To add to that what happens if only 5 go to post in a group 1 nztr will take back 15% from the 200k advertised??
  23. So if you enter your horse in a 15k advertised race 10 contenders turn up and then take that advertised stake away because it's not a full field, surely that's false advertising! You wouldn't play the lottery and because not enough played that Wednesday you can't win the jackpot
