  1. There is a thing called responsible gambling.
  2. I feel like I'm talking to myself😀
  3. What would you consider a big bet
  4. It was just a generalization
  5. It must be hard being a jockey on race day walking past the barbies on a holiday meet and being tempted to have a steak and say fuck the racing lol, a bit like churchgoers of a certain religion who are fasting before easter,I'd love to hide some nice hot KFC under the seats just to see if they can resist temptation during the service, coz when its comes to the belly and the ball bag we cant resist and give in to temptation lol. Ps so I have been told😉
  6. Because to save punter losing money or tab risking losing there's?
  7. For instance if a purdon horse at 1 60 you cant put say 75000 on but would be able to do so on a ten to 1 shot at orari
  8. So what does that mean, are you only restricted for some races,as in a 6 horse field at addington as opposed to a 16 horse maiden trot at Methven?
  9. I have a strange knack of betting on horses that dont win😟
  10. Well if it's a southern meeting there's a fair chance the winner is driven by a Williamson or an Orange If its addington and Purdons are in it well 9 out of ten they win. Not so though at the grass track meetings
  11. And probably will continue to be so Westport on boxing day has a crowd that exceeds the population of the town, its a major coast event,a lot of these meetings are annual traditions and will stay as.
  12. Firstly you have to admit that the results are clear cut for some races
  13. It is a mainly tv product now,98% of betting is off course now according to mr Saundry.times have changed, just the same 4 rugby, stadiums only fill up for feature games.
  14. So you suggest they mainly restrict harness punters?
  15. The stupidest thing I reckon that's happened is the complete shutdown of grass track racing in the north island, weird.
  16. I dont mind the gallops,I actually think the South Island racing recently has been rather interesting, getting back to the Oamaru track,it and Washdyke were suggested for closure yet they want an all weather track at Riccarton yet these two tracks just by location make good winter venues.
  17. You dont like the gallops?
  18. They are so repetitive, but what else do ya do,they claim turnovers are going ok so I guess they must appeal to the punters. If ones self dont want to watch or bet on them as long as enough do then sobeit.
  19. What's actually wrong with galloping track?
  20. So they must think they are staying open(Oamaru course)
  21. I've said before I dont really care if they have a AWT,and if the intention is to have 12 midweek industry days then that's it,no reason then why they dont have racing as usual at other venues as it has always been.
  22. Maybe someone from the Gore,Wyndham and Forbury clubs should apply.
  23. In many ways ,change is good, some suggest setting up a new complex somewhere else but those ideas have been floated for many things for ages, but look there is no reason why with a second track you can obviously race more often there, hopefully not impacting on other areas, taking racing away from other tracks especially the south is the only thing I would hate to see, judging by numbers lately they could actually handle more.Canterbury can basically run there own meeting and the southern area their own as well,it happens in the trots, has done for ages.
  24. Centralization?
  25. What if they all turn up and suggest Washdyke get some funds and they will race more there?
