Mr Brodie, I agree with you re Matariki. But it will be a vote-winner. Most New Zealanders love public holidays and ost also think that business owners are all rich pricks. By this time next year hundreds of thousands will be unemployed and many small businesses gone. But we will be able to head to a wacky-backy cafe to forget our troubles and plan a Matariki camping trip. You never know someone may run a Matariki trotting meeting.
