  1. You don't. You can place it instantaneously online?
  2. Obvious to whom and what are they? To me the risks are obvious but not the benefits.
  3. https://racingintegrityboard.org.nz/jockey-found-guilty-of-reckless-riding-receives-9-weeks-suspension/
  4. I haven't seen a proposal or business case for this from NZTR yet. What did he think the benefits for the racing industry might be?
  5. Where did you get that data?
  6. Same. Just tried it. Not getting the speeding up but it just freezes and restarts randomly. Checked internet speed. All good. Has to be on their end. Any other video stream works fine.
  7. @Turny might just about qualify for the niller category at this stage!
  8. Interested in your further analysis Kick. Looked like a pretty good run to me as you predicted. Led, kicked 200, kept finding. Easy
  9. RIB sets date for Yanagida hearing By NZ Racing Desk - September 23, 2022 The Racing Integrity Board will convene at Te Rapa racecourse next Tuesday to hear a charge of reckless riding against jockey Sam Weatherley. The hearing follows a race fall at Cambridge on August 3, in which jockey Taiki Yanagida suffered multiple injuries from which he failed to recover, dying in Waikato Hospital on August 9. The RIB Adjudicative Panel will comprise Warwick Gendall and Noel McCutcheon
  10. No. It's edited out in the replay by NZTR and the stewards vision is completely blocked.
  11. Just out. Jumps programming 10 days in advance. Woodville Jumps Stakes – Sunday 2 October If the Open Entry Steeplechase is able to be divided into two races then the Mdn Chase will be held over 3200m and the chase for winners will be over 4000m. Any Mdn jumps race run on the day will run for $30,000 and any jumps race that has winning jumpers in it will run for a stake of $40,000.
  12. Thanks. I missed that.
  13. If it was that waterlogged that it couldn't cope with 20mms of rain in a week, they surely should have cancelled a week ago and saved everybody the trouble and expense?
  14. They reported 20mms in the last 7 days this morning. 5mms the last 24 hours??? Hardly settle the dust would it?
  15. The stewards report is a bit bizarre isn't it? No explanation of the fall. Slipped, clipped heels? No veterinary explanation other than some sore teeth from the fall. Looks like they didn't even talk to Tayla before issuing the report. But they do that in an hour and can't conclude an inquiry into a race 6 weeks ago?
  16. Turny seems to have gone AWOL. I was just wondering if we should put the video of the race in question up here and let people draw their own conclusions about what the RIB should have decided?
  17. Haven't bothered to look but I assume that in typical transparent fashion NZTR will have withheld or removed the replay?
  18. Aside from being 10 years too late, half arsed? I have a bit of experience writing research surveys. If a student of mine had presented that one I wouldn't have even commented. Just sent it back and asked them to present something that makes sense. I know plenty of 10yos that could do better.
  19. Hey Billy, I know you are a comedian as evidenced by the above post, but weren't you also a welder at one time? Surely you could patch something together to fix this.
  20. Agree. You can't shift races where wet trackers are expecting to run 1.16 to a track where they will need to run 1.09 and change. Not an option as Bid says.
  21. Looks to me like it is a token piece of justification for canning the thing. Seems a bit late now to be seeking ideas to keep jumping alive in the SI.
  22. Due to consistent rain and a water-logged track the race meeting at Woodville tomorrow has been abandoned. The short-term forecast is for further rain. The track was inspected today by the regional track manager and the RIB in coming to this decision. NZTR will look to enhance stake-money for the final jumps day of the year at the same track on 2 October, and cater for as many jumps horses as possible.
  23. Sent out by Allan Pollitt, signed by Tim Mills. Assumed it would have gone to all owners and licence-holders. No?
  24. Survey for the future of the Grand National Festival (GNF) PLEASE COMPLETE THIS SURVEY BY FRIDAY 30 SEPTEMBER 2022. As you will be aware the 2022 renewal of the Canterbury Jockey Club GNF was very fragile in terms of starter numbers in the jumping races. Three races were abandoned, and the feature events only just got by. The Canterbury Jockey Club does not want this iconic racemeeting to fade into the mists of time, but it can only continue with the support of those who own, train and ride jumpers. The Club, NZ Jumps and NZTR (and indeed many stakeholders) need to understand what is required to ensure the continuation of the GNF and would like your feedback in this regard. Please take the time to complete this survey by clicking on the link below. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FMCPZHC Kind regards
  25. Are you kidding me?
