  1. I can probably get it for less if the Reefton Jockey Club would like to sponsor a race.
  2. I thought Reefton might be planning to shout them a corporate box or something. Only 5 grand for a small one,
  3. Haven't been for a couple of years, but unless they want to spend megabucks, for twenty somethings having a social day out, I'd say just a general admission ticket ($50) and mix and mingle from there.
  4. Therein lies both a problem and a very sadly lost opportunity. That stand has always been a white elephant and is now a tired old relic. You can't see anything much from the seated area and with my eyesight these days I can barely see the very poor quality vision on the big screen. There was a great opportunity to refurbish the eastern end of the Grand National Stand with its far superior viewing, glassed in to protect from both the easterlies and northwester and the rest for something else, demolish the Members stand relic and make a decent sized parade ring there. Instead, they have sat on their hands for years and their fate is in the hands of the Commissioner's decision in 3 weeks as to whether they can demolish the National stand or not.
  5. He was but appears to have only stood one season and produced 6 named foals.
  6. Yep. That's her. Apprenticed to Bruce Marsh when Woodville was a famous training centre and the first female to win a Group 1, the NZ Cup on Sirtain (back when that was a famous race).
  7. Maree Davey maybe?
  8. And the calibre of rider that still remembers how to ride them like that imo.
  9. I might come back to it but relocating the Guineas has nothing to do with the thread topic. Nomate's original post was about the potential downgrade of a number of pattern races as well as a reduction of their number and Goodson's comments on that. Their were some very good pertinent posts on that in this thread initially but it seems to have gone completely off track. As far as the Riccarton track is concerned, it is what it is and I think I read that a full renovation is in the wings. Riccarton currently is a very good training centre especially with the introduction of the AWT. I realise there are some anomalies due to track availability etc. I don't think it would be viable to build a custom training centre elsewhere from scratch. In the same way, there was no point jumping up and down at the time the current track was laid once the issues emerged (no money or time to relay it) but it has been lived with long enough. I generally agree with Pitty that it is advantageous to owners with horses trained there to be able to race there for the most part with today's transport costs among other things. Now maybe we can get back to the topic.
  10. WTF has that got to do with the Guineas being run at Riccarton?
  11. If that's the case what about the track? Nothing has changed with it in 30 years. I thought maybe he meant the potential downgrading of the Guineas.
  12. About what?

  15. They would have had mostly separate fields anyway though wouldn't they being only a week apart? The Arrowfield is wfa and the Matamata Cup a Hdcp. I don't see a problem.
  16. I don't see why not
  17. Meeting News Woodville Track Inspection - Saturday The RIB and Woodville Track staff have again inspected the Woodville this morning (Saturday) at around 8am and are happy with the racing surface. Any further updates will be advised via this channel.
  18. That's not unusual. Everybody else does though.
  19. Definitely not. I'm struggling to find an example of when you were.
  20. We pay $28 for grass fed racks which are the same as cutlets aren't they?
  21. How many can you fit in the spare bed?
  22. Yes. Checked my Ladbroke's account. You seem to be right. I don't do in-play betting.
  23. By a live bet, do you mean an in-play one?
  24. Sorry Huey, don't have an hour of my time to waste watching it. Did watch a few segments some time ago but certainly not in the last couple of years. Also, looks like Guerin is fronting it so I doubt any serious questions would have been asked.
  25. You don't. You can place it instantaneously online?
