  1. What locals? The ones on the piss?
  2. Meeting News Programmes for Aug and Sept 2020 Please find attached the programmes for the first two months of next season for both Islands. Although not confirmed it is expected that stakemoney will be at a similar level as that raced for last season. A programming guide will be sent out later this month. 3. Interesting that you mention revenue per horse. That's a far better estimate in my view of how we are doing stakes wise in my view especially when comparing with Oz etc. i.e. total stakes available p.a./number of individual horses. That's what really matters to owners. Reduced stakes and reduced opportunities as you suggest may also realign the horse numbers to the opportunities and available tracks.
  4. Might be about right with the reduction in distributions to $140m?
  5. No. Despite that and the duty relief, net loss after distributions which are static has gone from -15m to -16m for the half year and this was pre-Covid.
  6. And that's all come in the second quarter. They were down 1.1m as of end October.
  7. I see Noodlum is editing your posts again Chief Stipe.
  8. Interestingly "The Act binds the Crown", so if they want to sell up the likes of Foxton, presumably that's who they will be taking the land from overriding the Public Reserves Act?
  9. How are they screwed and why would they need or want to do what you suggest?
  10. NZTR?
  11. Yes. Last week!
  12. You'd think it would have when there was nothing going out for broadcasting, NZ racing event costs, and when they apparently reneged on promised code distributions, but as Freda says, we remain in the dark on this and are supposed to somehow premise our participation and businesses on that absence of information.
  13. Don't forget the new Racing Integrity Board.
  14. And across all 3 codes.
  15. more pro rata for the 8 weeks than the previous 12?
  16. Decided to wait till he turns 10.
  17. Can he back up before the end of the season? Travelled nicely early. Couldn't quicken. Needed run? And maybe blinkers? Looked like the old bugger enjoyed the outing though. Love to win a race with a 10 or 12 yo. That would be killer. https://mediarqs.skyracing.com.au/Race_Replay/2020/06/20200624IPSR04_V.mp4?hdnts=exp=1592982510~acl=/*~hmac=4f94999ac8e6790fd9890fbac510d8bee356e67bfd0837735bcd6fef0671149b
  18. No I mean costs of producing the racing product. As to RITA, I doubt there are substantive cost savings available unless they shed the FOB business and costs associated with the new platform.
  19. You can't significantly change costs and you can't spend money that you haven't earned or at least not for long. Get used to reality and make your choices.
  20. Don't think outsourcing necessarily means selling the NZTAB does it? As you say, who would buy it? I'd have thought it means licensing and reaching a commercial agreement with another operator or operators.
  21. Sucked tit until it went tits up?
  22. I say in recent months because with no domestic events, all NZ punter racing expenditure has been on offshore events, so I would expect that would have significantly increased.
  23. No idea. Another thing that the reports should quantify. I originally thought it was grossly overestimated by the RB (and so did the DIA and Treasury). It may have grown a lot in recent months though.
  24. Yes, but releasing that now is not a lot of help is it given it will be 5 months old and we since have the effects of COVID and the shortfall of creditor payments obviously extended since January, they had the benefit of earnings without any distributions, duty relief, at least 80% of the expected racefields revenue flowing in etc.
