My information says you'll see it go to a Good 4 or better.

Arguably the reporting may have been a grade out all week!  Still same range of improvement.

Good old early spring Nor Westers!!!

Yet the jockey riding the warm fav in Race 2 decided to drop to the back. Surely.... surely... the trainer would have told the jockey the back markers didn't make an inch of ground in the first race.

You simply don't get this with Australian racing, and I believe it's putting people off punting on NZ racing (as the evidence suggests).

Suggest you watch the race again.  The horse missed the jump then got squeezed.  Didn't miss it by much but enough.

Track very firm at Riccarton today.

Yes it was a Good 4 probably yesterday.  But no excuses for any horses.  The track seems to be playing fair except for the fact the rail is out 11m.

Can anyone tell me what value Guy Heveldt has added to the studio presentation today. Seems like a fish out of water.

Give him a bit of time, first go at Trackside. I don’t mind the guy

He has had plenty of media experience on radio and tv. The problem is that what he knows about racing he could write on the back of a postage stamp. Mick Guerin carried him on SENZ radio and Emily has carried him today. You would have thought Entain would have brought in someone with more indepth racing knowledge and expertise for Saturday viewing.

We have some big Saturday's coming up over the next few months so surely Entain can do better.

I have been thinking the same thing, can't understand how he gets a pass mark when the likes of Sweeney & Rodley are continuously dragged through the mud and they at least have some experience and knowledge.
