Brodie Posted yesterday at 10:31 AM Share Posted yesterday at 10:31 AM (edited) Seriously, Cambridge is running a meeting next Monday on Anniversary day for them! What is happening with racing in the North Island? This meeting is being run with only 5 RACES???? 2 races has 6 starters so turnover will be terribly low once again and these meetings in the north continue to lose money. Harness is in very serious trouble in the north and yet some some in the industry are saying things are positive??? Does anyone know what is happening with the sale of Franklin track as it has gone very quiet once again after the ATC came out very excited a couple of months ago? The interest will continue to climb! Edited yesterday at 10:33 AM by Brodie 1
Nowornever
Terrible fields and will not be having a bet. Tonight the fields are not much better up there with the pacers final the only race worth betting into.
Withadream2
Probably should have combined the two meetings into one

We were constantly told that was a great success for auckland,so if that was actually true, then why not replicate it for cambridge?lol. Or introduce some 2 yr old races with some decent bonuses to get Northern peoples excited .......touche ! 'You ideas folk , the true trendsetters of Harness spend too much time and effort propheticating on the ills of Harness ,especially Northern Harness when the real BIG issue is the alarming lack of horses in the North. Come up with a plan to help fix this ...more owners , more foals born , more starts per horse . THe higher stakes have created a lot of interest , less horses were sold /exported last year and the 2 yr old bonuses and Next Gen plans are in place it just gunna take a while to rebuild interest and replenish stocks even if at all possible !
