Pick your professions wisely when it comes to looking for a 'mate' Avoid narcissistic, controlling type professions Fireman, Police, Military, Surgeons and Pilots Apparently they have a "nuke the earth then scorch it..how dare you challenge me kind of approach to Litigation" I'd probably add jockeys to that mix as well seeing as they're going racingl...something about small and syndromes

With the TAB bending over backwards and offering them crazy odds that no other punter can get…. yet still had zilch left last Sunday. Didn’t they get $1mill once in a pool….. yet only got $350k last Sunday. it’s a funny group to be part of… They love Ted and put him on a pedestal… yet if you followed his bets in the last 6 months you would have lost your dough, no negative comments after his nag tips run down the track, but many thank him as soon as he posts…. crazy. Not seen too many positive posts after Sundays selections, in fact a few have posted with negative comments. I like the BGP concept of getting groups to the track, but I reckon these punters pools will continue to decline. Not sure all the advertising on TV, social media & radio regarding punting pools and Betcha / TAB all over the show is a good look these days, makes a joke when I see the … Gamble Responsibly 🤣 Remember the days when TABs were tucked away off streets, down alleyways etc, how times have changed I think they'll evaporate into a group that just goes to the races, if they don't have the $$ to spend the industry will shun them like they do most people/groups who start off with a hiss and a roar and evaporate into thin air. Agree the concept has been good getting punters to the track, but skeptical about their involvement in ownership and punting a lot of the people they have had involved in syndicates etc don't have the understanding or staying power for racehorse ownership or the punt , thats problematic in itself and its starting to show now.

You continue to slag them off yet have little understanding about their history ,culture and basic rules /expected behaviours. The latter would exclude you from membership !!! Ted is just one of the 'selectors' and regular tipsters and a while back it was noted that he was cutting back his involvement. His longevity would suggest he's been quite good. In addition he is shareholder in one of the big winners..El Dorado ...so I'm sure a bit of criticism from your direction will hardly worry him. Happy people don't tear others down..... BGP weekly emails and tipping sheets are generally very good.....up to 10 tipsters who cover the whole of NZ in both codes. eg Matt M , big in Harness in South Island ,often on TV and in key publications , Scanman a Buller legend in Cricket and Harness administrator in his spare time and Fitzi who works in Harness and works hard in syndication at low cost etc etc Once in a while ...a few times a year they have a 'punters club which thousands of Ma and Pas want to be part of ...from memory average ticket was $3o ,meaning some 10,000 pls this year. In 2024 they did a huge promotional push to get the pool to $1 mill which was amazingly achieved at an average of over $50. But you focus on a couple of losses.....not knowing how it even operates...and bang on about it. You try to dim their light...Darkness speaks about the critic ,not the the criticised ! 1

KM being their marquee day , I'd have thought there was a bit more focus on being successful or at least protecting their investment. SLB2.0 Posted yesterday at 03:16 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:16 AM Question: Does anyone use the app or get tips on their social media? If so - do they still produce Australian tips? I allowed them to use my website tips for a week in 2020 and then all I got is radio silence via email, but I never bothered to check if they were still publishing my tips. I doubt they're still copying and pasting them, but doesn't hurt to ask!

This years KM bets they didn't seem themselves, a bit of a dart at a dartboard (like me) was their punting strategy. Fair comment ....but it is punting on horses , so not easy to turn the money taps on ! IMO they do feel a lot of pressure betting other peoples money and tho they discuss possible selections in days leading up ,sometimes betting quite early with at least one bet eg 2024 in 2 yr old race...got a lot of publicity which aided reaching $1 mill pot no mean feat ! Ever tried organising a bus mini/van or function at races , it ain't easy ! 2 years earlier in particular I watched them from 20metres trying to settle on bets. Under real pressure ! IMO a committee of 4 is best when 3 are absent. Only 30 mins between races and getting TAB to accept bets/offer odds etc takes time. Some confusion can creep in eg 2024...the wrong bet was sent out by text to members. This year a quinella went on ,but numbers not sent out. We all think we can do better.....personally I thought FAV in r1 was bet of day ,it ran 4th . VERY surprisingly on Saurday thay had a multi going into El Dorado [ place] yet oddly they didn't go El Dorado at all when the time came. When they get behind in $ extra pressure goes on and they start chasing. Had Alabama Lass held on they would have looked at least OK........narrow margin ! In past years they been criticised for taking 2 x bets per race , and some say they stick to warm favourites too much. They really cant win ....certainly cant please all the people ,all the time. 2

Well as the Karaka night has been the big night which people from all over NZ attend annually there is no hope in hell that 800 plus will attend a 'new' event a few weeks later. I'm sure the BGP principals will want to enjoy a relaxing day at the races ,probably in the TAB room ! So unless they decide to do one of their 'big pushes' I'd say 100 + in that room would be a good result , 200 would be amazing !. But keep stalking them them and grab a ticket , if you think you can abide by their basic rules of expectations. Its a grand tour event so there will be music and dancing till late , after some great racing including the slot race !
