Boxie Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 I hear a minority owner in Felaar announced last night at a TAB Christmas Do that Felaar wasn't going to contest the next Auckland Cup. I guess we will see FOB betting suspended on Felaar now? Quote
The Centaur Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 So what? The horse has only won a couple. Hardly a world beater. Perhaps you found some better news. 1 Quote
Boxie Posted December 21, 2018 Author Posted December 21, 2018 I would have thought that if an owner tells the world that their horse is not contesting a particular race that has future odds posted the TAB would suspend betting on that particular horse? Isn't that what integrity is all about? Or if the horse does race in that particular race would questions be asked? Quote

Tough one really, I guess they can only act when it’s offically scratched or withdrawn. Edited December 21, 2018 by Tonkatime! Quote
theshu Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 If the horse is is not contesting the race, the owner has done a lot of people a very big favour as no refunds on fixed odds betting . Quote

But the TAB hasn't done EVERYONE a favour by suspending the horse from the market. Why not? 1 Quote
theshu Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 As previous poster has stated ,they will not do until the official trainer has declared the horse a non runner . Quote

Well that's the difference between here and Australia. There the Stipes would be paying a visit and suspending the horse from the market. Contrary to some little people's belief don't everyone visits an online forum or drinks at the Viaduct. 1 Quote
hesi Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 And the guy has the audacity to talk about the lack of integrity in the industry........a law unto himself 1 Quote
Ashley Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 I have placed my last bet with the NZ TAB. If they are spending Industry money supporting this piece of scum they wont be getting any more of mine. 1 Quote
