Nowornever Posted yesterday at 09:40 AM Author Posted yesterday at 09:40 AM There is either no money in the pools and a couple of hundred dollars can massively shift the market or they are getting hit all over the place and are plugging holes. I have never seen anything like it tonight with the market moves. Quote
Nowornever Posted yesterday at 09:56 AM Author Posted yesterday at 09:56 AM the above example was race 9 but race 8 was just as bad. Quote
Nowornever Posted yesterday at 10:03 AM Author Posted yesterday at 10:03 AM Four Wise Women opening $4.60 and out to 31.00 WTF is that all about. Yes the trial was ok but that was against horses who would be 101 or above in this field. Was always going to be double figures closing. Wow can not wait for the grass track racing.. 1 Quote
Brodie Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Nowornever, I can assure you that it tskes very very little money going on to make the so called Bookies to slash fixed odds drastically. They are now not letting you on for anything like they were and even the small amount they let you on for they slash the odds several times. The thing is if one punter gets a small amount in and then slash the odds that is the end of money going on that horse from others, as any value is gone. They are just so risk averse except from taking bets from one or two ounters who have more money than sense! Last night on Trackside they announced a big bet alert! $1k @ $1.65 LOL. Gee they must be very scared with that? Quote

He won brilliantly last night yet again . burying them off starting off a 30m handicap over the short 2100m . you're asking how do we get 100-1. ? well I went along last night to see him go and Grant said he has the winner of the Rising Sun as well . FATE AWAITS. he won quite brilliantly last night too. ( and won this time last year in 1.50 as a 2 year-old) he is certainly the real deal. Our Best trainer driver here Pete McMullen also won with Fast trotter GUS. Gus waltzing away from them in a 2100m stand off 30m as well. Not an easy feat by any stretch of the imagination. Pete said he has him 'cherry ripe for the Interdominion' trot home town advantage next month. Make no mistake, without the defending Champion The Locomotive nor Keayang Zahara attending this Interdom Trot , he is a huge chance. so there you go. I've only put a tenner on so far to win 1000 but will likely take more. ( plus some Emma Stewart and the Janitor savers) Fate Awaits ($7.00 in the Rising Sun July5th) x GUS ($11.00 for the Interdomion trot Grand Final July 19th) into Leap To Fame ( $1.30 for the Interdominion Pacers Grand Final July 19th) 7 x 11 x 1.3 = 100-1 riding on Leap To Fame . you won't get that everyday 😆. our winning Fate Awaits lol 😉💰 don't say I don't look after you . better keep it quiet from the Brodster though 😉. STEP 1 Complete . Fate Awaits mugs em' nicely in the $300k Rising Sun Group 1. The Janitor a Brave 2nd with the Saver too , and a $30 Quinella in Da Bank . you can't help but win on these Top horses. Bring on Gus and Leap To Fame in 2 weeks time . could be the 2 Interdominion Champs then. Cheer em' On !!! 1 Quote

Cheer em' On !!! good tipping there gammalite.Once it got the run behind its stablemate it always looked good.the dixons do that a lot,the slightly more favoured runner does the work and the stablemate gets the economical run. The draws meant they could do that and your tip was good enough to capitalise on the nice run it got. the horse quality is high tonight, but the racing i thinks not been very exciting. it seems in every race tonight they settle in their positions,no one moves up,then only go average speed, then they sprint home from the 800m and the ones up front naturally don't stop. it was like in every race the drivers were witing for next week. a bit like watching racing at auckland, but just had more horses in them. acrually you mention gus. I watched some of his runs before and after you tipped him a month ago. I'm sure hes the best trotter there,i just don't have much confidence in the driver,p mcmullen. He just keeps getting beaten by just following them around ,seemingly waitng for next week.Again he drove a poorly judged race tonight.i'm sure if he had say b orange driving he would have won all his recent starts, apart from the one he galloped at the start in.bet and win the only other chance in the final. the way leap to fame won,it looked like he might even be getting better,if thats possible. anyway, you've got the first of the three legs in.2 to go. I always say the racing is ruined by too many in a race. they start to get in each others way a fair bit more than normal. With Many horses chasing a start in these Big money races this Month, they decided to start 12 horses every race instead of our usual 10. it just causes issues. there's traffic jams. USA is way best with 8 runners all the time . They all get a chance every race. even from the back of the field. is hard to get held up. 1 hour ago, the galah said: acrually you mention gus. He was at the back from his unruly position and 12 lengths from the lead a lap out and beat just half head at the end. A sensational effort looping 4 wide from the quarter way up outside Oscar B. and beat him by 2 lengths at the end. the Longer races coming up next 2 weeks will be more his liking too. A fabulous trotter. I have a high opinion of his driver Pete's driving which differs to yours , but that's fine. it's just opinion. I looked up his season record and they put last 10 drives there too. Pete McMullen had 1 win and 4 second places in his last 10 drives so just average I spose. Grants last 10 drives were a win with Leap to Fame and 2 x 3rds . so seems quite average as well 🤔 . Races are VERY hard to win Mr Galah 😅. these 2 are our very best still. Have near 10,000 race WINS between them . incredible stuff. for this season Pete has 480 drives for 116 wins so not too bad at all so far . Usually has about 1500 drives per year for about 300 wins per year. and Grant Dixon has about 1000 drives per year for around 150-200 wins so not quite as good as Pete. Pete McMullen taking about half as 'outside' drives from his own horses too , and Grant hardly any at all. Quote

They used to pull hard and then stop but then again they were poorly bred even though they would win races at Parklands! MELTON was the prefix and they were trained I believe by John McMullen and Peter was driving them often, so he must've improved a lot from driving better stockz, Quote
