Brodie
Why on earth is Auckland continuing with 1609metre races again. A word in your ear Auckland Trotting Club, if you think you are attracting people to bet on mile racing, you are dreaming. Your Racing is never that exciting and you continue to program mile racing! It is hard to come from the back over any distance on your 1000metre track, however racing over a mile is just blatantly stupid. OK I am not going to be offloading anyway due to the TAB considering me a money launderer, but to program races over such short distances is not overly attractive for any serious punter, and certainly won’t be encouraging new money and people oncourse. 1

Maybe they are encouraging the horses to get some black type so the breeding numbers go up in the future? 1

Punters are voting with their feet nowadays and mile racing doesn’t encourage punters to offload!

Selectively watched parts on IPad this morn, not sure turnover can be up as he said that the tote pools were poor. As for mile racing being easier on horses, wouldn’t say that was true as a lot of form reversals over a mile. Flagship uberalles
Fields for Auckland pretty good this week, plenty of value, I don't like the mile racing all the time as it is very predictable with the trailing horse getting the chocolate mostly. Being someone that likes going to Alex park now and again there is nothing like standing by the fence close to the finish line and watching the start from the 2200 mobile, if I take my daughter and a couple of her friends, they Stand there mesmerized....mile racing is so unexciting.

One has to redefine "self", that's how mind altering it is. Obviously ( and this surprised me) it alters ones enjoyment of mile racing at the Ribbon of Light. Who would have guessed??
