Chief Stipe
I just saw a copy of the new NZRB publication Raceform. Seems a step up from Best Bets. Good bunch of articles across the codes. Nice to see a full field on one page as opposed to Best Bets. Minuses - difficult to read if visually impaired (slightly). The wrong type face and point size is being used. The fields are a rainbow of unnecessary colours. Pink type? Green type? Bugger if you are colour blind. The form lines look like the same rubbish we see on the TAB site. Which doesn't give you much confidence. Anyone else got any comment?
All The Aces
The overall stats should be in bigger print and have been cut down ie no full fresh up or second up stats why bother with stats for the last two months. They will basically be in the form line anyway. Clean white paper with black print makes for far easier reading. At present in the this format it is far too difficult to read and I am not visually impaired at all. After purchasing the book I got the TAB agent to print me off the sheets that they place up on the wall which made for much easier reading and will use those for reference. Will not be buying any more in the current format. PS Chief. Take another look full field are not all on the one page as you state.
holy ravioli
Don't buy form guides now, but who owns/owned Best Bets in recent times.Used to be a Fairfax publication...I think.

Most are if you lay the paper down flat with a page each side - the point being the Best Bets you would continually have to turn the page to see the rest of the field. Dark Beau
I think that it’s a great start. Yes, I would change around a few little things like increasing the type size of the Race name, stake, class, distance etc. Also the breeding and the owners need a slight increase. I do like the large size of the horses names.

Example quick form lookup using QRcodes. Certainly anyone doing internet research still likes the basic fields in front of them for written notes or just remembering the horses. Trying to duplicate the form database on paper is futile. There may have still been a few diehards ten years ago ignorant of the internet but only a few now remain. Those turn and finish Friday Flash photo's were dynamite and still are as a means of remembering a video.
