Blood Doping?

Newmarket

Recommended Posts

A mate has a horse in well known Canterbury stable ....that had this procedure.

Syndicate was never told, first they knew was when bill arrived. They were pissed.....and horse went poorly in Auckland.

It may be legal, but I don't like it, too many things as it is to make horses run hot n cold.....

Explains why purdons have so many short priced runners beaten in small races....yet grow a leg...sit parked....bolt in when the moneys up!!!

Seems many stables do it, racing all around country. Gives me, as a punter no confidence in the game.....

Some interesting information being posted.  Thanks as it is quite enlightening.  All the same what you are saying is that no one is breaking any rule's per se just working them better than others.  Happening in Sydney with the Thoroughbreds too.

I do not think half of these people know what they are talking about. They accuse purdons of using something every second week. Maybe they just know how to condition a horse properly and the horses they train are just that much better

Your right, before this thread was started, I didn’t know this was going on.

I want to know more, seems more than just one stable doing it.

Sold doesnt mean used. Ive never seen anyone in australia or new zealand use this equipment.

You are kidding aren’t you ?

No one is going to buy one and then not use it are they?

If they weren’t selling them, then no one would bother to stock them!

Obviously this blood spinning is going on, despite you never having seen anyone use it!

Ok,

How about this. We all want the industry to be on a level playing field. Every week we are advised of gear changes for horses, advised if a driver is going to drive without a whip, advised if a horse is to be driven differently, then trainers & drivers are questioned regarding some horses performance. Well, I agree with all this,

So why can’t the industry provide details when certain stables are doing this, and other drugs? Why not, I’m sure owners are forking out big dough for stuff, that’s not even improving horses, and punters need to know when trainers are trying their hardest, which is not all the time.

Read the site it using last Cup day as there success story - names the Alstars as winning all the big races using there treatment .

Mark fined for injecting inside the stand down time period - not illegal drugs .

You  need anymore evidence - blind cheerleaders.

No I don’t - means the rich can afford it while bread & butter owners / trainers cannot so not a level starting point .

Also , still trying to work out how this treatment is any different than blood doping - recycled own blood in knee (treatment) or vein what is the difference ?

Well said. Yep, it seems a few questions need to be answered on this.

Everything is not equal in horse training land!

There is a stable that produces champion race mares, but you would not pick them as being mares at all, they always look like males in their stature and composition!

Not sure how this is able to happen?

You need to get under the horse and look up, some good tell tale signs of girlie or boy ?
