When this dog lines up yet again on Sunday it will be having its 10th race within the space of a month.

9 x 457m races and a 650m race on Thursday where it looked spent.

He lined up on the 2nd, 5th, 9th, 12th, 16th, 19th, 23rd, 26th, 30th, and due again on Sunday.

Talk about greedy connections and trainers, but we are talking about the same trainer who was nominating retired dogs in order to get starts for his others.

Talk about desperation.

What's the GRNZ Welfare Manager been busy doing while this has transpired?

Where's Dr. Malcolm Jansen (Lead GRNZ Vet) been while this has played out?

Obviously the GRNZ board has no accountability on this matter because they've been working overtime trying to figure out how Angela Turnwald's daughter could go about acquiring her training licence on the same troublesome Foxton property (under it's 3rd name now because of previous wrong doings under first Freeman/Turnwald  then Angela Turnwald).

GRNZ have been put on notice by the crown and they're still under the assumption that no-one will notice.

https://www.grnz.co.nz/News/2742/GRNZ-Accept-Recommendations-in-Review

"We share the Government’s determination to ensure animal care is our priority and our community will continue to focus on the wellbeing of our dogs. We will cement in the continued gains made under the new management.

We will work assiduously with the RIB and government to ensure that our processes will deliver on the shared goal of excellence in animal care and transparency of information. We accept that these  processes will need to be maintained over the longer term to provide the appropriate reassurance. Despite this we may continue to face criticism raised by anti-racing groups. We do respect and always will  respect the social licence we have been granted."

You know, avoiding/breaching the rules then getting caught & penalized is one thing.

Avoiding the penalty is a next level event & GRNZ needs to sort this shit out.

Freeman & Cole are just doing what they always have done with only the next new sign on the window. How is that alright with anyone in the industry?

GRNZ, you do not deserve the social license that you're letting erode away anyways.

Go Home Duke doesn't seem to have had the chance to make it home in the last 31 days.

9 x 457m = 4113m + 650m = 4763m + (10 races x 75m past the post) = 5513m of hard out running before it even began to voluntarily start to slow down.

Someone should tap @Honestjohn on the shoulder & suggest not to buy this dog if he's in the market. It hasn't been trained responsibly for quite some time now.

Have seen poor old Dukes trainer & kennel hands on tv 4-5 times with his mask under his nose, should be kicked off course if he can’t abide by such a simple rule - being able to race at the moment is a privilege - Come on Pete the cheat, get your shit together or go back to harness and stay there!

He's doing what anybody with half a brain does, keep the mask on under the nose so as to not restrict breathing. The masks are for stupid people to make fools of themselves, mind you they do good when it comes to covering up peoples ugliness. Ugly people thrive in these conditions.

While talking half a brain...Not wearing a mask in public at this point is one of the most selfish things a person can do unless they of course have some sort of medial condition that exempts them from doing so . Have some thought for other trainers and  participants that might have a weak immune system for undelaying health reasons that you might not know of that you put at risk...  If you are not wearing a mask because its uncomfortable, you are risking their lives. There are no mass reports of people not being able to breathe or dying because of the wearing of masks.

Go and give yourself an uppercut.

Read it and weep.

From Israel.  The index case was fully vaccinated.

https://www.eurosurveillance.org/content/10.2807/1560-7917.ES.2021.26.39.2100822

We have investigated a nosocomial COVID-19 outbreak involving the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant among a highly vaccinated population. The attack rate among exposed individuals reached 23.3% in patients and 10.3% in staff, with 96.2% vaccination rate among exposed individuals. Moreover, several transmissions probably occurred between two individuals both wearing surgical masks, and in one instance using full PPE, including N-95 mask, face shield, gown and gloves.
