What a great line up!
Must make sure the next one I get starts with an ‘L’.

Alright Blackie , you take this legend then (Because Blackie the horse is a QLD legend)

Q9/ This Legend out -trotted them Nz , Aus, USA and Europe and is probably the best Nz trotter ever ?

Rangatira and the Horseman have cleaned up some NZ Champions.

A lot of Nz horseman seem to like this late entry. Perhaps a Legend for being a Rogue ?

Q10/  This horse with appalling manners won his Cup after rearing at the start and giving them 50m . with the aid of a stablemate taking out a couple of opponents shortly after , he got a good run in transit to take victory.

Perhaps his BIGGEST claim to fame is at his very last Race start of his career he pushed GAMMALITE back to 2nd spot , rushing past him up the home running (not many can do that) much to the excitement of Reon Murtha. Gammalite still says it was a Fluke lol...   who was that fluke artist?

Alright Gammalite, true blue Aussie you are, them three are…

6. Lightning Blue( heard that name somewhere before), best ever son of Lonero to walk this planet.

7 La Coocaracha, have you ever seen a faster 200m down the back straight at Alex Park from a trotter when it won the Rose Cup, awesome! By Safely Kept as well.

8 Lawn Derby, first horse to pace under 2 mins outside of USA. Left his hopples at home as well.

M and M's day , and some more great 'M' horses in todays quiz .

Can anyone answer any of these Quiz horses with their name beginning M. have a crack at any.....

Q1/ This little guy bagged the big November double of Cup and FFA just as Armalight, Bonnies Chance and Hands Down had done in the few years before.

Q2/ Robert Dunn horse that won many giving his connections plenty of Song and Dance ?

Q3/ A nice open class trotter in the 80's that the 'Chief Stipe' might only remember?

Q4/ This was the first horse to take advantage of a great race losing it's Handicap status and therefore win a 2nd one of them. What horse? what race?

And the Aussies in NZ...........

Q5/ and Q6/ These 2 bushwackers really let the Aussie side down. It has been more than 40 years since a kiwi was allowed to win an Addington Interdominion with Lightning Blue, Golden Reign and Baltic Eagle keeping the Canterbury faithful winless at the countries best track for decades. Would of been more than 50 years if it wasn't for these 2 flops running unplaced in a Addington Grand Final.

Well 'N' day is here in the first letter of name Quiz.

First cab off the rank today we have

Q1/ yesterdays 2 Aussie flops that the Horseman named at Addington on the previous post here, was nearly made up for by the gallent efforts of 2 old Aussie trotters Albey Logan and Silken in the trotters division that year.  BUT 2nd and 3rd was there lot as one of the best finishing runs (and cool, cold calculated drives) and late surge, sent this N horse sailing on by ..........  who was it ?

No Response with one of the great finishes from back in the field ever seen in a feature race, winning the Interdominion Trot Final at Addington.

Q2/ Horse 2 then is another classy trotter. What is happening in this photo? Who is it ? why is it special ?

Nigel Craig Breaking the 2.00 min barrier in a Time Trial at Addington. The first time a trotter had ever achieved that feat in Nz or Aus.

Petite Evander , one of his main rivals , time trialled in Auckland a month later, to be the first mare to break 2 minutes in 1.59.8.

They had a Special match race after that and ran 2.10 just walking  along !!!! lol. no more match races after that lol....

To find an Aussie N horse in Nz racing in todays N quiz .......

Q3/  Well one nice Aussie 'N' trotter did re-locate to Nz after winning about 30 out of 50 Australian races. Dave Gibbons even then took him to 3rd in an Interdominion Grand Final but never ran a place again in it's career afterwards. Who was he?
