I agree my only criticism is she talks to fast but that is the norm these days. She's a breath of fresh air because I believe the crew needs an upgrade, some been there too long. Keep Greg and Miss Sim and find someone new. We need a straight talker like The Reidman on the show. Perhaps CJ De Filippi might be available soon?

Great to see also John Morrison drive beach ball to victory I hope he gets the race drive and life's a beach back in form.hes a star if only he gets the support and as a result of lack of support you can try too hard and mess it up as a result.south island is very competitive. WTF Majestic Cruiser certainly to beaten, dragged back through the field by the rogue Southcost Arden. That horse did not deserve a start in the Cup, form so poor. I knew the horse would ruin the race somehow and he did costing Majestic cruiser a certain win. Natalie Rasmussen proves to be still #1. Perfect driving all day from her. I backed Spankem as a backup F3 at $3.20 so came out just a few dollars down. If the cruiser had nit been checked I get plenty. Take it on the chin... Some awesome trainer Grimson is had horse cherry ripe and yes very unlucky not to win great drive by cam hart and he was spewing he got pushed so wide on turn should of won but don't want to take away from what copy that did and ray green and blair.three champions but please do not win next year as terror to love was my favourite pacer ever.i loved that horse for his racing and looks

I am glad someone else has noted the incredible training achievement of Jason Grimson. To get Majestic Cruiser ready for the NZ Cup with only one mile race start three weeks before the Cup and given a quiet run in that. He then had to be shipped to NZ and prepared for the Cup. Incredible training feat and the horse was a certainty beaten but that is racing. I think Majestic Cruiser is the top horse in Australasia. Jason Crimson and Cameron Hart, both young men, are two of the most talented horsemen in Australasia. Australian harness is lucky to have both of them. Will they both end up in the U.S.?

If Cam Hart had of stayed on Akuta’s back, instead of jumping on South Coast’s Arden’s helmet, he would have gone a lot closer. I know which one I’d rather been following to get me into the race. Top driver that man Cameron though. Edited November 9, 2022 by Blackie

I get your point my old mate. I know you one of the more astute horse people here but I think you being bit tough on young Nathan Purdon. The young man has achieved much in the game already. I think he is a family man Forbury, and no doubt his girlfriend is too. Both have family in Canterbury, Nathan's mother lives here. Riches can be made in the U.S. but the life is not for everyone, it would be hard. Just my thoughts my old mate. Good luck on Show Day. I know you will have something sorted. All the best. Well I think when Mark pushed Akuta out and put the tiring South Coast Arden 4 wide down the back-straight, Cam Hart whipped around SCA 5 deep, to get back on Akutas back again. Akuta going 4 wide himself to get around the tiring Krug on the home bend. Cam trying to keep Akuta's back , but had Tony Herlihy and Self Assured giving him a hard time , as he tried to get out from behind Akuta too. Cam won that battle great bit of driving to keep AGH hemmed in. Majestic Cruiser then running past the 2 or 3 ALLstars horses who were 3rd, 4th and 5th to gain a solid 2nd placing . The Winner CT just too good ? 10/10 driver rating for me the First 4 home lol.
Kane21
If Herlihy wasn't unlucky at the 300 I'm off to Spec-savers, he would have finished very close if the Aussie didn't lay in on him and get a puncture.

You need spec savers... Majestic Cruiser had already gone past the unlucky Self Assured by that stage. Tony got the puncture from the battling Krug (an inside tyre) who was pushed out onto him by the tiring Kango at the 300m mark. .. Cam Hart on the Aussie Cruiser had already won the battle to keep Tony behind Akuta at the 400m.

Basil
It's good, if somewhat surprising, to see this forum engaging in positive comment about an out-and-out champion. There have been a good number of top-notch NZ trotters in the 45-odd years I've been watching — Monbet, Stig, Icandoosit, Take A Moment, Lyell Creek, Basil Dean, Scotch Tar and Nigel Craig are some who come immediately to mind — but Sundees Son must surely be in the top-2. Lyell probably had the best all-round game, and could rough it in a way most of the others couldn't, but the top-end cruising speed of Sundees is something unique. If I needed a trotter to race 2 miles for my life, he'd get the nod 10 times out of 10.

All good Basil mate. I think this forum has some 'real fans' of harness racing, compared to what I've seen elsewhere. And everyone always enjoys Cup week hopefully. No words from Chief S though .Hes given us the flick I think 😆. The great NZ horses CT and SA have thwarted the Aussie raiders this week , the trotters are phenominal. Sundee's Son , well what more can you say ?. I agree with your Top 2 rating. A megafast 3.56 2 miles last year in Dominion and 3.58 this year. High performance alright. And need to throw in 2 or 3 more trotters in to your mix like Petite Evander (taking on the world) No Response beating the Aussies with his brilliant Interdom at Addington. Pride of Petite winning interdominions off 30m and then 40m behind in the 90's. In fact NZ trained trotters WON every Trotters Interdom in the 1990's (all 9 of them !! ) .amazing.

And of course the great Aussie trotters Scotch Notch and La Coocharacha (and Maoris Idol as well, although he was never seen in NZ).
