You might have to start dusting the cobwebs off Foxton.
Huey
Get BS back to explain his venue plan - I don't think they understand how it works!

It has certainly gone well so far. To give them some credit, they have mastered the closing down of courses bit, it's just the other side of the equation that hasn't quite worked out. 2
KickintheKods
That start date is being highly optimistic in my opinion. Civil contractors are months behind due to loss of experienced staff (mainly to Oz and the new workers are taking time to learn the ropes) and the very wet weather we have been having. It's typical of the way things are in NZ. In my industry, only one in 20 new houses is being built in brick. Why?/ There are only two brickeries left in NZ - the majority of bricks are being imported from OZ. Consequently, there are very few brick layers left in NZ. They have all gone to OZ or retired or changed vocation. And add in the wet weather and those that are left are months behind. Awapuni might get completed by the end of 2024 at best.
Special Agent
So if it is necessary to reconstruct the Awapuni track does it make any sense it can still be raced on until commencement of said reconstruction? Does anyone know if this is being funded by the Safety Fund, or by other means?
Joe Bloggs
What a total fucking joke, Sharrock is the ringmaster of a 5* circus, it's been a sideshow for quite a while, laughing clowns, dodgems, roller coaster, all that and more, now RACE and the rest of NZTR have morphed into a 3 ring 5* circus, the VILE fiasco/tragedy and the AWT dodgem circuit, and the worst course proper south of the equator, can't count Riccarton as that's north of the South Pole.....so,.....roll up, roll up buy your tickets here, acts never seen before...blah blah, you know how it goes, you guys are living it.

nomates
Just back from a Xmas trip to Palmy today , read dragged , anyway sitting in the Plaza having a bit of a nibble on a very average Chinese lunch when a long time CD trainer sits down for a yak , long story short the GOSS is that the A/W hasn't been laid properly , also a lot of horses having issues after running on it . Just passing on what i got told , this trainer also agreed that CD racing is Donald Ducked .

Can't say I'm surprised , its beeen an absolute cluster F##k from start to finish the Awapuni AWT, an incredible amount of $$'s wasted on all of them imo. Many of us pointed out to begin with.
