When someone dies like she did in a motel room it's against the law to alter, touch and remove any item until the police have investigated. This happening with people involved in seeing that integrity is upmost in an Industry. As you say despicable and also unbelievable. They did get stood down while the matter was looked into - yeah right. Edited December 8, 2022 by NZRacing 3

NZRacing
You don't need to have any police training to read between the lines and know the first comment is an absolute load of crap - you ever hear of a woman having her rings and clothes needing to be removed while having a cup of tea? Quote Neal, who is married, confirmed he was with Lyn O'Connell at the motel when she had the heart attack. "We were having dinner at a restaurant, she dropped me back, we had a cup of tea and that was it, and then she collapsed." Quote Neal called his co-chief stipendiary steward, Nigel McIntyre, for help and McIntyre picked him up from the hospital, Godber said. Together they went back to the motel, collected O'Connell's clothes and wedding rings and dropped them back at the hospital, leaving before family arrived. Gobber is either thick or was assisting in covering it up. You make up your own minds on that one. I know which one I would be going for. Although to be fair both could apply in this case. 1

Doomed
I don't know whether there is a lot to be gained by dragging up old stories like that. KickintheKods
There were rumours, and I stress these were rumours, but from very solid sources, that Mr Neal had been having many cups of tea with a well known trainer's wife in the CD. Straight black apparently - no milk and definably no strainer. It simply confirms the unwritten law that Chief Stipe John Schreck wrote in the NSW rule book back in the day. RULE 69: If I want to shag your wife, there will be no interference from you and no swabs will be required. 1
NZRacing
Your right don't need to bring up old stories like that to prove the RIU"s incompetence they can easily do that themselves eg INCA.
NZRacing
How can the NZ TAB call Australian bookmakers unregulated, every bookmaker Company in Australia has to be registered with their States and pay the Racing Industry fees including NZ. Quote However, other factors such as race abandonments, competitive pressure from unregulated online offshore operators and wider economic conditions impacted operations again in October. The NZ TAB offered no deductions and bonus bet refunds on a customer's horse finishing 2nd to 5th those are promotions you won't find offered in Australia, so NZ have a completive edge there.
