Yes harness racing has been a great industry for many decades but certainly has its issues now.

Does anyone see things as going well at the moment?

Brodie one cant deny the fact that some of these horses winning are very very  good, they dont run those times  by being crap but so much of the racing is so predictable, some are backed down to a dollar, they must actually cost the TAB to make up the difference, just like so many of the guaranteed quaddies that dont go over the pool.

So many issues for harness racing, roll on the mighty Manawatu,(as Aaron White seems to say over and over).

I reckon that fat cunt at the dogs may have been eating too many hotdogs, or maybe some of his slow dogs or their nice steak they probably get,  he just seems to pop up every race, mind you he probably didnt pop up at the Ascot Park dogs lol

Just to add, BD Joe won, that horse deserves a major win, kind of got the poor draw at cup week.

No one is saying they aren't very very good horses. Nor are they denying their trainers aren't very very good.

But you must know how watching those races today effects how people think.

And i can guarantee you this,that when people think about breeding or training or owning a horse in the future,these thoughts will be part of what makes them decide to or not. 

Anyone who doesn't recognise that,simply is ignoring what people say and think. 

Its not just here.

Look at victoria. One stable completely dominates harness racing there. 5 in the interdominions pacing final,including the clear top 3 qualifiers. Just look how that is perceived in that state.That stable even has a special facebook page dedicated to it,and not for good reasons.Look at some of the media coverage racing has gotten in the last month there.

It all points to one thing. As much as people should try and think positive,its hard to ignore.

To be fair, there are a lot of overweight people dog handlers at the Greyhounds on Trackside!

Clearly the dogs are walked on walkers nowadays rather than the trainers!

And i thought the trainers went out jogging with them.

Some of the young female handlers, well they are a different subject completely.

While im no dog racing fan most probably do what they do because they enjoy it, sure the animal rights lot go about it and sure there are some bad eggs, there are many instances where animals might not be getting a fair go, whether its right or not it is what it is.
