Brodie
Race 4 at Nelson Forte Lustre having its first start for Ivan Court has been hammered by the Bookies, Anyone know why it has been so heavily backed in? Seems puzzling to be reduced so much on what it has shown in public!

Seems puzzling to be reduced so much on what it has shown in public! Trainer does well on the track and usually has one set for the meeting. Zachary Butcher down to drive it and drove it at the Cup trials as well so obviously wanted the drive. Looked green at trials and a bit fat first couple. Opened too long by bookies. Geez Brodie being an astute punter thought you would be onto it at the overs.

Seems it might have gate speed but leave me off that one, but where there is smoke there is fire! Harnesslink tipster tipped it out, so you wouldnt know how much went on? Do like one in that race that I thought was overs!
Chief Stipe
@JJ Flash is still in cookie bear land. Probably still believes McKenzie did a great job restructuring the TAB. Suggest you look at the video closely Flash. Do you see Poppies not staying up on the horse it was trailing? It came back in the bit when Williams changed direction. It wasn't going anywhere until he did that. Anyway @JJ Flash we all know what your agenda is and that is to promote the Thoroughbred industry at the expense of Harness. Any Boys Get Paid tips are usually a waste of time and a bit off putting with the weight of money that flows in as are the whales tips. I think most of the big fixed odds movers these days come from social media tips with the weight of money from followers. Plus the TAB follow those sites like a hawk and drop the dividends accordingly. Still better to pick your own and ignore all tipsters.

Nowornever
Is the track surface different from previous years at Nelson? Not as yellow as it normally is. Last years track below Edited January 13, 2023 by Nowornever

Started in a qualifier and was 3 back and got bowled. Started many races later against qualified non winners to try and aualify which it did running fourth! Thought it went only fair, so it mustve grown another leg in training to warrant such support you would think? By the look of that needs more than 10 weeks. It might be able to keep up over a mile on the 2nd day. So far all Ivan court’s horses have dropped out turning for home . Something not right there! Brodie
Lol according to Craig Thompson from the TAB lol $100 at 14 another hundred at $10 i think and $500 @$6 ffs.Absolutely criminal shortening on that pitiful amount. Bookies are very poor! That horse went shocking!

Dunn’s normally set a team up for this meet. Although racing one at omakau is tough. That’s a lot of travel!!

I have never put Sarah O’Reilly’s driving down, but I will still maintain that Carter Dalgety is the best Junior since Dexter if not better at the same stage. Look at his last 2 drives today. Beaten by the bad draw of of 9 and then a $15 winner! I will guarantee that Carter will be far more successful whether it be NZ or overseas. You can just tell by the way he drives, cool as ice and nothing phases him for one of his experience. Are you up for a wager Gamma, on whose UDR is better at the end of the year? Are you up for a wager Gamma, on whose UDR is better at the end of the year? Lol No chance mate. you would take my last few dollars 😁. I would suggest that all through the year Carter will only get the odd 'outside' the stable drive and be on a winner from the 3 drives per meeting average that he has (which is very good) and Sarah would get a winner from 5 drives. (a bit like today.) So yes he is likely to have a better UDR. Plus i just watched the AJIRA drive today . Absolutely perfect mate. 10/10 from me. Let the horse balance early , timed run beautifully, used the Whip way better than a lot of the other drivers, (Looked like Cam Hart or pete McMullen style who are great young aussie drivers ) .So definitely a point to your boy there today .🏆 Won't it be great if Sarah gets to drive Ajira on Sunday against Carter on Casino Action ?? 😊 Can't wait to see !!!!

The horse had shown very little and should never have shortened into $4. Reality is that unfortunately the TAB are so restrictive and conservative it is affecting the bottom line.
