Yankiwi
Oct 2023 quarterly report to the Minister of Racing. https://www.grnz.co.nz/Files/Quarterly Reports/GRNZ October 2023 Quarterly Report - FINAL.pdf Once again, welfare was GRNZ's "utmost priority". Yet GRNZ claimed "delays" to Auckland's safety rail over a year ago. There has been no news reported of several container ships sinking or of containers falling overboard with GRNZ's safety rails in them. So, where is Manukau's safety rail GRNZ? Where's all the other tracks rails/fences to totally enclose them, which you claimed were going to be installed over autumn/winter? What is the truth revolving around this? Asking for the Minister of Racing & the welfare of greyhounds. Edited Thursday at 08:09 PM by Yankiwi

What have ships sinking got to do with manufacturing delays? One involves transport the other involves making stuff that gets transported. Chief Stipe
So @Yankiwi do you have evidence that a "safety rail" reduces injuries? What type of safety rail? If one type of safety rail does reduce injuires - why?

I have evidence that GRNZ has claimed to be installing safety rails for animal welfare on all NZ tracks for well over 10 years now. Number installed = one, well maybe now 3/4 of one at Wanganui. It was installed completely around the inside of the track near the lure rail. Then they took portions of it down. Then they did a complete refurb a couple of years ago & put it all back up again. Now since that refurb, they've taken portions of it back down, as seen last night.
