Oh that explains it. There were two races abandoned and I thought given the lack of money in the pools that that was the reason. But doh they were abandoned well ahead. Interesting though that the turf looked great, the sun was out and most were wearing shorts and flip flops. Now what is really interesting is were races scheduled for the turf (other than the Grp races which were cancelled) transferred to the dirt? -

i thought it was pretty hard to have,even with the driver change. It had finished a beaten off last,just stopping,being 40 lengths,6 lengths and 40 lengths behind the second last horses in its last 3 starts. i think opening it at $30 most probably had priced the driver change in. well done if you backed it,your a punting genius today. -
Yes, in my time there owners and guests could go in the saddling paddock and at the tracks that I loved, the public could get right to the rail there and watch horses saddled etc. Very different approach/focus.
