    • It's lost it's way very quickly this pony series.
    • Not to mention two of the main jumps courses going forward.....Te Aroha [ Great Northern] and Hastings. Throw in Te Rapa and there seems plenty to host a 'nearly dead' aspect of  NZ racing . Down to 44 races now from 66 last year and it was 122 a few years back. Even today folk on here are pointing the blame for this.....IMO the administrators have given it their best shot to keep it going .IMO it has been a reluctance of trainers firstly being not keen to put the extra work into jumpers[ a few exceptions]. Then the Owners unwilling to invest ,especially if trainers not keen. Then all the racing folk who say they love jumps but in recent years few went to watch and even less wagered on them. Years ago when the South jumpers started declining nothing was done , and tracks such as Riverton and Washdyke who hosted them lost out...it hurt their futures ! And administrators have tried to push it .Southern racing had a real enthusiast [Andre Klein ] involved. He ended up going back to the UK and now high up in Cheltenham Jumps club after doing real well at another jumps course/club.
    • So the best 4 horses are missing and you're crying about it. The owners of the 8 remaining runners are probably happy with the quality of their horses. Mach Shard and American Me have been in good form lately . Self Assured a bona Fida champion, former NZ Cup winner.  Dual Auckland Cup winner.  8 runners this year with 133 wins between them with over $6,000,000 in prize money won. Looks like EXCELLENT Quality to me.  Only thing embarrassing is your comment about the field being embarrassing.  the winner this year only gets a bit over $100,000 for the win ? now that's a bit embarrassing I spose for one of the feature Group 1 's of the Nz Harness racing season.  How's that then ?? talking about the horses that are there instead of not . Hope that helps you like them a bit more instead of thinking you're doomed all the time. (like that bloke in dad's Army 🤣)
    • Lol, don’t think they will do any real favours for Brodie? Thing is, I think we have to make hay while the sun shines as it is highly likely that Entain will be taken over by a bigger corporate in the next few years! They arent really showing us at all that they have racing interests at heart mid term and they have a few storm clouds circling!
    • WTF?  You're a misogynist dickhead.  Her looks and your preferences are irrelevant.  These women just cleaned up the card at Morphettville.  Give them some credit rather than denigrating them.  Who does their success scare you?  They certainly diminish @billy connolly 's limited achievements on horseback and yours.
