  1. What would it cost for Free to Air? As much as is being paid for The Everest slot and promotion? BTW I find the TAB promotion a bit misleading - The Everest isn't the richest thoroughbred race nor is I Wish I Win the fastest sprinter. As for the streaming option it is a dog unless you are on high level broadband. On that point I found Racing.Com a better option for OZ racing. Especially watching Imperatriz the other night at Moonee Valley. I actually turned Trackside off on the TV and watched on my phone. The lead in and post race interviews were great.
  2. He is by NZ time but what system does Hong Kong use? Sorry if that is a dumb question.
  3. Is Motukarara off limits to gallops now or is it closed?
  4. So the end play counters everything else?
  5. FFS you said it was "a bit harsh"!
  6. Did Russo lay a complaint with the Police?
  7. Is Warsaw eligible for the Hong Kong Derby? Stakes HK$20M/NZD$4.25M
  8. Well the Moir is traditionally the lead up to the Manikato and Imperatriz nailed that in track record time. She is now favourite for the Manikato at $1.70. Interesting that there is 4 weeks between the Moir and the Manikato.
  9. It wasn't just an insult - it was an accusation of cheating. I can only imagine your reaction if I called you a liar and a cheat in a bar.
  10. You obviously haven't read the whole report(s).
  11. I see one of those horses Act Now raced on Friday night and ran third.
  12. $10 a litre for Hartmanns. About $5 for the drip. Big stables buy them by the carton. As do most dairy farmers.
  13. First 1200m win yesterday at Elite level. Goes into The Everest second up after a 1200m Grp 2 win. I doubt he'll contest the Manikato which would be his third 1200m in a row. Not sure many of thosein the pre-nom book that are racing in The Everest will make the Manikato.
  14. Wouldn't have been many stables that have won 6 races in 3 countries on the same day! Nor a Jockey winning races in two different countries in the same day. Shame Bosson couldn't nail a Grp race in NZ.
  15. Tokyo Tycoon didn't handle the track. Listening to what Walker said a week or so ago about not tackling the Guinneas at CHCH due to the float travel. From that comment I gather he is a bit weak and needs to strengthen or he doesn't hold condition well. Bosson knows Imperatriz inside out which proved to be beneficial. Plus being on the Te Akau payroll Bosson may have been a more profitable option. Walker said after the race that it was Imperatriz who was keeping Bosson enthusiastic and on top of his weight issues. Mickey Dee will get his chances in time.
  16. How is that a rant? In hindsight $1.85 which was the best price on offer early was good value. Especially when compared to the $1.50 returned on the tote! Ironically I would say the bookies layed a bit off on her on the tote to cover their liability.

  18. So NZTR cancel Rotorua well ahead of the meeting based on some adverse forecast from who knows where. Yet they wait until yesterday morning to postpone Woodville today until Thursday. They postpone based on surface water which I guess was not going to drain away in 24 hours. RaceInfo Meetings Meeting News Update - Woodville Races Transferred to Thursday 5th October MEETING NEWS Update - Woodville Races Transferred to Thursday 5th October The meeting scheduled for Woodville on Sunday 1 October has been transferred to Thursday 5th October due to surface flooding on the track and surrounds. The track was inspected this morning (Saturday) by the club and the RIB. All scratchings have been reinstated and the new race times will be advised this afternoon.
  19. No it gets a bit tedious being gleeful when you are ALWAYS wrong. As for who or what or how much I wagered that's none of you business and quite frankly no one cares.
  20. Tell you what @holy ravioli I'll split all your ramblings on The Everest in a separate thread and you can then tell us the merits of it. As I said I don't think it has a longterm future - it was dreamed up to distract from Victorian Racing.
