Well the Moir is traditionally the lead up to the Manikato and Imperatriz nailed that in track record time. She is now favourite for the Manikato at $1.70. Interesting that there is 4 weeks between the Moir and the Manikato.

Tokyo Tycoon didn't handle the track. Listening to what Walker said a week or so ago about not tackling the Guinneas at CHCH due to the float travel. From that comment I gather he is a bit weak and needs to strengthen or he doesn't hold condition well. Bosson knows Imperatriz inside out which proved to be beneficial. Plus being on the Te Akau payroll Bosson may have been a more profitable option. Walker said after the race that it was Imperatriz who was keeping Bosson enthusiastic and on top of his weight issues. Mickey Dee will get his chances in time.
