How is it rigged? Isn't the Grading done by a clear set of rules based on horse performance?

If I recall correctly the TAB has given the Club rebates and other bonus type incentives not available to everyone.

They have an option on the TAB main menu where you can buy Syndicate "shares" at $1.01. I assume it is the money collected in shares that is then bet. Perhaps they have already sold a few hundred thousand "shares" allowing them to bet already. In my opinion the whole thing smells a bit. TOKYO TYCOON (O Bosson) - When questioned regarding the performance the rider advised that the gelding had felt indifferent in its action throughout and had never travelled comfortably favouring the right foreleg. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which found the gelding to be 1/5 lame in the right foreleg. Connections were advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to racing next.
