  1. That's the manufacturer’s instructions. I'm surprised that they don't.
  2. You haven't mentioned that Book 1 was up on last year and that $64m was returned to the breeding industry. Did you have a yearling in Book 2? I'm surprised the market from local buyers wasn't more bullish given the promise of substantially more Stakes AND all those AWT fields to fill. I guess local investors are holding back.
  3. No I didn't I just asked the question. Some breeders did OK at the sales. Some didn't. Some have crap mares and some produced crap yearlings. That is there is a quality aspect to supply and demand. No one forced anyone to breed did they? It's an auction you take your chances. What if NZB did or didn't "guide" the industry at the end it is individual breeders choices. Market forces - there maybe won't be as many turning up in 2 years time. That said you are surely not suggesting that NZB should tell every breeder what mare they should breed from and which stallion they should send it to? Some would argue that they do that too much already with their restrictions on who gets into Book 1.
  4. So what? It's a conversation. At the end of the day no one is forcing the Breeder to breed from their mares. Who are the mugs - the Breeders losing money or NZB making money?
  5. So you ARE having a go at NZB. No one HAS to sell their horse at Karaka. No one is forcing breeders to put their mares in foal.
  6. Why would they? You keep referring to Inglis as if they are the only option available in Australia. Do the Magic Millions have these "honest conversations"? There are ELEVEN Yearling Sales in Australia. How many "honest conversations" were had?
  7. So I'm correct you are just having a go at NZB? Yes there may be other avenues for Vendors to sell their yearlings but at the end of the day it is THEIR choice where they sell them. No one is forcing their hand to sell at Karaka.
  8. So are you suggesting that Breeders/Vendors should have decided two years ago not to put their mares in foal i.e. reduce supply?
  9. All hail the King! The champ retired after third Miracle Mile LEAD NEWS Tim O'Connor 12 MAR 2022 Last Updated 12 Mar 2022 King Of Swing has been retired following his historic third Miracle Mile success. The Belinda McCarthy-trained seven-year-old produced a brilliant performance to win the $1million Grand Circuit classic ahead of stablemate Spirit Of St Louis (Jack Callaghan) and third-placed Victorian Better Eclipse (Jess Tubbs/Greg Sugars) at Menangle on Saturday night. He is now the only three-time winner of the race. An early speed burn threw a spanner in the works for King Of Swing, who was crossed in barrier one when Nathan Jack sent Mach Dan (Emma Stewart) straight to the lead at the start. But Luke McCarthy was quickly off the pegs with his charge and despite pressure from Bondi Lockdown (Aaron Dunn), managed to take up the lead in a frantic beginning to the 1609m sprint. King Of Swing’s rivals tried their best to catch him in the dash to the line, but the son of Rocknroll Hanover was too strong, holding on to win by just over a metre in a mile rate of 1:49.2sec. “That was just a massive thrill,” Luke McCarthy told Sky Racing. “After the week we've had and still being able to have him at that level to be able to win a Miracle Mile is unbelievable. “It's kind of surreal. “You dream of winning the Miracle Mile as a driver and to win three in-a-row on this horse has just been so special and it's just a dream come true.” With retirement confirmed to Adam Hamilton by part-owner Glen Moore, King Of Swing finishes his glorious career with 44 wins from 82 starts and with well over $3million in prizemoney. The 2022 Miracle Mile was rescheduled from last weekend due to a torrential downpour which hit the Menangle track in the minutes before start time. 10. How many NZ breeders can afford to fly their yearlings to OZ? What are they supposed to do? Stop breeding from their mares because NZB decides to limit the number of horses catalogued for sale? @Tesio answer this question - how many yearlings have been sold in OZ in the last 3 months?
  11. Why is it a Joke? A lot less than the Aussie sales so far. Where do you sell you yearling if not in NZ'S only yearling sale?
  12. Been like that for decades. The biggest mistake in the Messara Report was the focus on amenities over quality of the track that the horses race on.
  13. What colour patch do you wear?
  14. Which one is @aquaman and which one is @Brodie?
  15. Actually young Ben has done the OTD win. Won a race as an Owner, Trainer AND Trainer!
  16. Not his first training success. I see Peter Profit has had a go at him for being from Woodend Beach. Ben strikes me as a young lad with a passion for the game and well bred and trained. He started out rough but like most good ones is getting better with age and experience.
  17. Feel free to start a Topic @hunterthepunter. The floor's yours!
  18. It was never SAFE nor EFFECTIVE. What do you expect when it was never fully tested or trialled.
  19. Then say that clearly. Otherwise your argument falls apart and looks loony. Unfortunately your average citizen is not up to speed with the debate on HIV vs AIDS. They hear AIDS and think HIV and homosexual activity. The vaccine doesn't contain HIV but it may lead to compromised immune systems. Even the pro-vax scientists admit that in the days after getting vaccinated with mRNA vaccines the immune system drops and is more susceptible to Covid. Maybe a new acronym should be VIDS - Vaccine Induced Immunodeficiency Syndrome.
  20. No HIV is not AIDS. HIV is the Human Immunodeficiency Virus. AIDS is Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. HIV can be a factor that causes AIDS however there is substantial research that supports the hypothesis that AIDS is actually caused by other factors. AIDS is a condition where the natural immune system is damaged to the point it cannot fight off ANY diseases. Not everyone who has HIV gets AIDS. Now there is some controversy around the whole HIV causing AIDS theory. Guess who was/is at the centre of that controversy? None other than one Dr Anthony Fauci!! HE pushed the theory that HIV causes AIDS and guess what......he pushed anti-viral drugs as a cure!!!! The inventor of the PCR test Dr Kary Mullis had a huge public fight with Fauci calling him a dangerous fraud many many years before Covid=19 arrived.
  21. Bollocks. AIDS isn't a virus for a start. AIDS is a condition - Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. It develops, sometimes as a symptom of HIV. HIV is the virus. Where this conspiracy arose from was some crap was posted online that the spike protein had some sequences that were similar to HIV. There is enough main stream evidence building against the Pzifer vaccine without going down some Alice Rabbit Holes e.g. causes AIDS and contains Graphene micro-chips. That said - there is evidence that multiple jabbing of a vaccine that doesn't elicit a substantial immune response COULD damage the immune system AND facilitate the conditions for a cytokine storm response.
  22. I've heard reports from multiple sources that training horses safely at Riccarton is becoming more and more problematic. The course proper is not recovering nor has the necessary maintenance work been done; The "new" turf training track has become a very hard surface and less than a year in is requiring renovation work; A new computerised irrigation system for the new turf track is rarely used; Disagreements between Trainers and Maintenance staff on grooming the new AWT. Some want it hard and firm while others want a cushioned training surface; Cambridge is watering their AWT to get it in optimal training condition whereas Riccarton refuses to do so (they may not even have the capability). The manufacturer says you don't need to yet every other AWT requires it; A major stable now prefers to gallop their horses on a track to the north of the city; One and possibly two major stables are close to moving away from Riccarton further limiting the revenue stream and ultimately adding to each of the aforementioned woes. Plus, although not confirmed, there are reports of an increase in horse breakdowns well above normal averages.
  23. With the recent High Court decision overturning the Vaccine Mandates for Police and Defence Force staff it is time for NZTR to cancel their Vaccine Mandate Policy. Even the risk averse Fronterra has rolled back theirs. The fact is it never passed the Workplace Risk Assessment test in the first place. Training and Riding racehorses is by its very nature a non-contact work environment. Trainers and Jockey's barely talk to each other at the best of times! NZTR show some kahuna's and stop this nonsense. You need every single Trainer and Jockey working as hard as they can NOW or ultimately you'll be out of work and the only grandstands left standing will be painted Tangerine!
  24. WTF does it have to do with AIDS?
