  1. I do remember Dirty Work - formed part of a nice multi when he won the Schillaci. A good looking son of Written Tycoon. Also has some of my favourite Australasian bloodlines with Bletchingly being part of his pedigree. He broke the track record for 1100m when winning his maiden at Kensington. He ran some solid placings against a generation of top sprinters. Not sure I'd spend $20k on a service to him though.
  2. I haven't seen the race and won't comment on the specific ride however, not only is there a glaring difference between NZ and OZ but also North vs South. But the most inconsistency is between the Gallops and the Trots in NZ. Drivers are getting put out for months for what the judiciary declare as incompetent race driving. I think they have gone way over the top in some cases but as you say stuff all is done with the gallops. But I guess it is part of the written and unwritten dispensation given due to the lack of Jockey's.
  3. Actually @Joe Bloggs thinking about this a bit more, Pitty is the South Island's Rogie so Royal Ascot is probably part of the plan!
  4. Shows what can happen when you get a good track.....
  5. Congrats @Reefton with Roussanne winning at Kurow. Good to get a return! Judging by the price you hammered the Bookies!
  6. Not only is she a crap scientist in a remotely related field to pandemics/viruses but she is also a hypocrite. "We weren't swimming during lockdown we were just paddling"! Her specialist subject is bioluminescent bacteria! Go figure!
  7. Yes very rarely do you see canines climbing the fence naked and inebriated. From my experience on the rarely occasion that dogs have caused a problem they have come from adjoining properties and not brought on course.
  8. Well if that's correct (not that much of what you say is correct) then this post is pure projection. FACT: as many Kiwis "flock" to the GC in the summer as in the winter. Based on historical data of airline arrivals on the GC from Auckland more travel in the summer. Suggest you learn to Google as on your current form you won't last long in Cindy's research (propaganda) unit. Then perhaps you might be well qualified given your propensity to make things up.
  9. I'm not sure it is a HRNZ rule. Does it depend on what each Club decides? I've been to race meetings where dogs were allowed as long as they were on a lead. Been to a couple of gallops meetings where GAP where there with Greyhounds for Adoption.
  10. Even then one of them is more like a hairy rat excuse for a dog.
  11. Is this a "Where's Wally?" question? I can only count 3 in that picture. I assume they have all been pre-race swabbed and are there for security purposes and for the detection of RIB investigators!
  12. Well she is hiding more than she is leading at the moment. You must be sad that you can't fawn over her everyday from the pulpit of propaganda and fear! Only in your opinion which counts for nought. You attention and retention span only lasts about two posts. As @Joe Bloggs posted "Kiwis flock to the GC over the summer holiday period...." end of story. The peak of tourist activity on the Gold Coast is actually December and January. The highest number of flights from NZ occur during these months.
  13. Look I don't often agree with @Joe Bloggs but in this instance I do and we are both right. As for the semantics of evidence vs proof - you have failed to provide either. Much the same as how Ardern is leading the country.
  14. Spendthrift Farm To Discontinue Australian Operations by Press Release | 12.29.2021 | 10:17am Spendthrift Farm is discontinuing its operations in Australia and putting its Spendthrift Australia property up for sale. “This has been a very difficult decision for us. We have a wonderful team in Australia and will be working closely with them to help make this as smooth a transition for them as possible,” said Eric Gustavson, owner of Spendthrift. “The Thoroughbred industry in Australia is one of the finest in the world, and we have great respect for the job they've done in building it. We've been fortunate to meet so many amazing people there and have very much enjoyed the experience.” Spendthrift Australia is located just outside of Melbourne on 600 acres. Its current colonial stallion roster is comprised of Overshare, Swear, Gold Standard and Dirty Work, and the farm is also residence to a broodmare band of about 50 mares along with their foals and yearlings. “We want to thank all of our staff in Australia for their hard work over the years,” said Ned Toffey, Spendthrift's U.S. general manager. “We have made it a point at Spendthrift to branch out and try new things. Naturally, not every idea is going to work but I will guarantee you we will continue to take that approach.”
  15. You really don't understand the concept of evidence do you? I'll give you a clue. Prior to Covid NZ (20%) was a close second to China (26%) in terms of a source of tourists to the Gold Coast. There are two peaks - summer December to March and then the winter months.
  16. A snake caught in a wagon rut aka Peter Profit aka Archie Butterfly aka Brenden Sheehan.
  17. Is the $2m+ new computer system approved by Cameron George up and running yet? Any Owners or Trainers seen any benefit yet?
  18. They "flock" at anytime there are holidays. The Gold Coast is relatively cheap to get to and something for all the family. Suggest you get back to your economic text books Holy Pasta!
  19. I guess TAB NZ has summed it up quite well.......
  20. 1:15pm on 29 December 2021 - I hope it doesn't cost stakeholders anything to provide betting on this crap. I'll give Trackside 3 a miss - I have trouble enough working out the logic behind what is broadcast on TS1 and TS2!!!!
  21. This is already showing up in the low rates of testing now. Even that excuse for a scientist "I only paddled" Wiles was reported saying that. PS: @Thomass your Princess Cindy is going down quicker than your doll on your birthday.
  22. I agree. Sloppy employment contracts but I guess the employers won't get slapped. In the real world it would be an ERA case to reclaim the fine. However you have to justify the position of the "Betting Analyst" somehow hence the random charges a couple or three times a year.
  23. So you are a proponent of lock everyone down and cancel everything or do you support the creative alternatives to allow business and society to function? The more businesses that put pressure on the regime the more likely this nonsense will stop.
