Case in point. You've turned it all into something it isn't and have made it personal rather than debating the topic. No Brodie hasn't invested in fact no one has. There are a number of subscribers who enable this forum to keep providing people such as yourself a free unrestricted online forum to pontificate about anything you feel motivated to. There are only two people on that have been moderated Thomass and Mehe. Mehe is moderated because he is fixated on attacking Brodie and seldom if ever starts a Topic of interest nor post a view that doesn't involve a personal attack. In that regard Mikie you walk a fine line.

My perspective is that there are changes in broadcasting that are occurring at random without warning. I've seen it happen the last couple of Saturdays. The studio staff don't seem to be warned that it is happening. That in my opinion is the bigger issue. As I've said I suspect that the production staff has been cut to a minimum, the desk presenter is working from a satellite makeshift studio at Te Rapa and it is a cost cutting driven initiative. With regard to this topic why was the race in question simulcast on both channels? Where was that advertised? With regard to scheduling where do we find it? What's the deal now? There used to be a clear directive now it seems to be random. Most of you guys are harness followers so you are unlikely to have picked up on what is happening. Afterall you should be used to being relegated to channel 2 when there are NZ Gallops on.

Not at all I'm confident Brodie can defend himself. As for protecting him - what would I be protecting him from? You? Mehe? At the end of the day it seems some are intent on forming gangs and being king pins. From my perspective I dont give a shyte and find the posturing amusing. To sum up Brodie had a point and as I posted I've seen the same issues that he has. However some of you have gone past discussing the issue and have gone on a personal attack. Mikie if you want to drop to Mehe's level then that's your choice.

Breath testing CWJ.

So much for integrity.

Doesn't work like that if you are following a particular race meeting e.g. Randwick last Saturday where they switched without warning. Also if you are saying watching/listening to the inane commentary between races on Trackside 1 is better than back to back racing....well we have different standards!

So isn't that part of the problem? Shouldn't there be uniform and enforceable standards throughout the country? I just posted in another topic the level of track information provided to EVERYONE for Flemington. Why can't we see the penetrometer readings? Afterall at the end of the day we are all in this game together. The more minds assessing the data the better off we'll be. What actually does NZTR do? Apart from hire 3 different business consultancy firms to determine how to carve up club track assets!
-
Doesn't Riccarton have to conform to NZTR Venue Guidelines and Standards?
-
Geez Pitty get a grip! Are you under pressure? I've already said that the track at Riccarton on Saturday was a lot lot better than October 3rd!!!! Apparently took a lot of water to get it there though! OK so your assessment of Danielle's comment on Weigh In (comment on her Bourbanaire ride) is that she was having a subtle serve at Riccarton NOT Te Rapa? She was riding for Stephen Marsh in that instance. SO specifically what did I post that was a "load of crap"?
-
To be fair to Brodie that pic doesn't prove anything! I know what he is talking about because I've been caught out as well. Where without warning a particular race is switched to Trackside 2. In this case I suspect that the race was simulcast on both channels. If you wanted to record all the races from Randwick on Saturday you would have been out of luck because they flicked a couple of races from 1 to 2. They other thing that might have caught Brodie out is the old bug bear of recording. The recording slots are two hours so you need to book in at least two slots to record an entire meeting or just record everything which can lead to running out of space real quick. The Trot race in question was just in the 4-6pm slot running at 4:14pm. So if you didn't book the next slot then you would have missed the race. Why they hell do they split it this way?

Riccarton Track G3 or G2 or F1? 3 October 2020
Chief Stipe replied to Joe Bloggs's topic in Galloping Chat
If you have been following my posts on tracks over the last few years you will acknowledge that I've given Te Rapa a few serves. In my opinion same problem on Saturday different location. At least Te Rapa upgraded from D4 to G3. However Te Rapa on Saturday was a different class of horse to those running at Riccarton on 3rd of October - maidens were running faster times at Riccarton! Also we didn't see clouds of dust at Te Rapa that we saw at Riccarton. I think the issue is we have set a target of G3 and everything has be "re-aligned" to achieve that target. Riccarton on 3rd October wasn't a G3 it was a G2 - Te Rapa on Saturday wasn't a D4 it was a G3. That leads me to believe that the measurement system is all out of whack. When was the last time that the measurement tools were re-calibrated? -
They were. If you watched Weigh In a couple of Jockey's gave it a server especially Danielle Johnson. Proof? Probably like INCA you don't have any.
-
So you are saying that no one takes notice of the "guideline standards"?
-
But is it a "guideline" or a "standard" or a "guideline standard" as per the title of the document? Secondly I suspect that there is an unwritten rule now that you can irrigate up to Thursday night before a Saturday meeting and no one asks for permission.
