  1. Haven't heard of Jay Hovdey....I'm guessing he is rich enough to have bleeding heart liberal views. John Messara - well he has gone down in my estimation after his report. You - given you have stated on BOAY that you are in your 70's where were you 40 years ago protesting about whip use? Thomaas - pfft - he has no credibility.

  4. Anyway back to the Topic. $1.10 is not good value. $1.75 would be. A couple of tidy fillies carrying 4kg's less but Catalyst should be far too good.
  5. So you're an expert trainer now amongst everything else? I'm picking he will run kinder than he has.
  6. You're talking to yourself Thomaas.
  7. Seems there has been a change of plans for Alligator Blood. He and Catalyst will now go head to head in the Group III CS Hayes Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on February 14.
  8. Thomaas you need to realise you are the only one in New Zealand making a song and dance about it. Get over it.
  9. Geez you write some crap. The trainer said - "he no longer needs them"... He'll probably go faster without them.
  10. Trainer says he doesn't need them anymore. Only wore them because in his first race he wouldn't take a gap. Training perfectly without them. Trialled beautifully last week without them. A class animal doesn't need them.
  11. I thought you'd be all over it Thomaas....... 3yr old after Christmas, dropping back in class, blinkers off.
  12. I don't know why you persist in talking in riddles.... Weasel - in cases like this particular name suppression there is usually another charge on the books. One he hasn't been tried for yet.
  13. Partly because our courts are grossly inefficient in how they are run. But also because respective legal teams will no doubt be filing legal argument on what the sentence should be. Part of the process.
  14. But the price of the product stays the same. A betting pool that has 26% deducted from it pays less than the one that has 21% deducted.

  22. - with a warning for Australian officials Lauren and Shane Tritton. Premiership-winning harness trainers, the husband and wife team of Shane and Lauren Tritton, have issued a dire warning to Australian harness officials as they prepare to relocate their business to America. The Group I winning duo - known as Team Tritton - announced on Tuesday they will be relocating from their base in Menangle, NSW, to start a new operation in America. But the premiership-winning team are leaving with a warning for Australian harness racing officials concerning the future of the code in Australia. "We hope that those in control of harness racing can see they need to do more to make this great sport of harness racing bigger and better, as what it has become in the past decade has lost its viability to support the participants who rely on it," they said. "We would love to be staying in Australia for the rest of our careers but the reality is the viability of a trainer and driver in harness racing in Australia is too volatile. "We have tried to stress this to those in charge without any reaction or concern for the issues that every trainer or driver in the country face every week. "Please take notice those in charge need to do better for everyone in this industry who rely on it to survive. "This is a sport and should be fun - surviving isn't fun." The Trittons say many of their owners have chosen to stay with them in their US venture. And they say business at their Menangle Park stable will continue as usual until their planned departure in May. The move will see Shane follow his father Peter to America - Peter has been training there for some time. 18 people are talking about this
