  1. Then WHY THE HELL Mehe DO YOU KEEP TROLLING Brodie? Is this a burgeoning bro-mance? If so - Brodie can you send Mehe a photo of yourself. Mehe put the photo on the wall and do whatever you need to do to stop your forum unsociable behaviour. Hint: In the privacy of your bedroom you can do anything UNLESS it's Level-2 and the Police believe you have more than 10 people in your house.
  2. I've just finished reading the proposed changes to the Bill. There is NOTHING in it relating to a POSITIVE generation of revenue. The focus is on a restructure with the creation of new entities - Racing NZ, TAB NZ, RIB (Racing Integrity Board) - isn't that more of the same? Plus legislation enabling the grabbing of club assets for "the benefit of racing as a whole." Can someone explain where Mesara got this idea from? I sure as hell can't see a similar approach in Australia.
  3. The realised cash from the sale of assets will go into the black holes never to be seen again. Awapuni and Riccarton come to mind. If you are going to sell assets at least have the foresight to plan for the future. Both Awapuni and Riccarton are dead ends. Why not invest in a Greenfields site in Canterbury that allows for the expansion of training facilities? If Cambridge can't afford to maintain their tracks with 1,200 horses being trained there then how is Riccarton going to do it? Unless they expand the number of horses being trained on site.
  4. Rule Number(s): 869(2)-Whip Regulation (b)Following the running of Race 2, the Allied Security-NZ Owned & Operated Mobile Pace, an Information was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mr P Williams against Licensed Open Horseman, Mr J Cox, alleging a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the ... 5. Remember the days when you had to have trial form to get a start.
  6. I realise I'm asking some dumb questions but I'm not particularly au fait with everything Greyhound (could be a good thing!). How are Greyhounds identified? Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds are branded as well as DNA typed.
  7. But that wasn't due to the unprofitability of racing. I note in 2018 their expenses went up when the joined the Summer of Racing Programme and Butch Castles helped with raceday management.
  8. That makes sense. Is that where they got their $2m investment from? Who owns it now?

  10. The new legislation will force them to be registered as working dogs.
  11. Which? Pet or Working dog? If the latter why the proposed change to legislation in the Racing Industry Bill?
  12. But why are they suddenly losing money? Why did their track rental and track expenses more than double in 2018?
  13. The Select Committee report is due 8 June 2020.
  14. I read the latest bill and the DIA explanation. I'm suggesting that PBTC and HBRC are getting ahead of the game. Note there is a report due tomorrow.
  15. FFS put a figure up? You profess YOU are in the know but won't say. Can you give us at least an idea of what "nowhere near that" means?
  16. Under the proposed new act NZTR say where the money goes. Have to fund that AWT at Awapuni some how.
  17. FFS you haven't put a figure up but if it's $629k or $631k you win? So whats your figure?
  18. Well you obviously have a better source than the rest of us. So what is he being paid? Or are you going to stick to posting "I know better" posts without any numbers? As for Annual Accounts there is no statutory requirement for those. Especially if they are bad news. Doubly so given we will have to wait until January even though July 31 is end of the financial year. What odds are you giving we will see those figures before the September election?
  19. Geez Curious what's $500k between NZRB/RITA execs. Lunch?
  20. Well in all fairness I'm guessing the $2m will be transferred before NZTR have a say under the new Act!
  21. I wonder where the $2m investment PBTC has is going?
  22. Galah be warned. Focus on what is going to happen in the next two weeks. I know Peters - he is totally a self interested charlatan. The problem now is he is being manipulated by others. Which given his age and the chemical abuse he has subjected his brain to isn't surprising. His comrade Jones isn't any better. Harness racing (which I assume is your code) is going to get raped. Dogs - well have to register every dog as a working dog will kill them. BTW that's in the new Racing Industry Bill.
  23. Join the dots. A Castles and J Castles are brothers. Craig Investments - Whakatane. Poverty Bay Turf Club Annual Report attached. BIZNET-DOCAMENCON-56723560.PDF Adam Lynch.pdf
