  1. This is getting tedious. So now you now have a subjective scale of a subjective factor that doesn't predict anything for the next race that that horse races in!
  2. I agree with all your points. Although it does seem that Vic and NSW still have non-TAB race meetings.
  3. Well post it again in a form of english that the rest of the world understands!
  4. What does "blinkers first time", "3yr olds after Christmas", "maturing neddy's", "unlucky" have to do with analysing form?
  5. Thomaas hasn't shown us how he used the "Blueprint" to arrive at his selections for the Cox Plate. As it was they weren't much different to what everyone else was selecting!
  6. Is substantially increasing top end stakes while turnover and revenue is declining a mistake for OZ? It was for NZ. Granted though OZ seem to have a more efficient operating model than we do. Plus they have invested huge amounts in new infrastructure.

  12. The Philistines will need to reach into their gold chests to save the industry. So they should as they have profited at the expense of the battlers.
  13. You are comparing performance with points rating. One is relative to the horse the other is an arbitrary system.
  14. Technically we don't. The topped up using pokies and other accounting mechanisms. But you also have to remember that this is the annual report for last season. We are nearly half way through this season and there hasn't been any significant uplift in revenue. As far as I know you can't draw cash from intangible assets unless someone is foolish enough to lend you the cash for a hold over that asset. Overvalued intangible assets was on the balance sheets of those companies that crashes in 1987.
  15. If that's the sole purpose of you posting then you can fuck off.
  16. I see a pattern when you get spanked you say the word "irony". Of course there is no such thing as being "unlucky" before a race. You may apply the term subjectively AFTER a race. However the point is you can't predict what will happen next time in terms of "unlucky" or "lucky" so why bother about it at all?
  17. For a start AF is not uncommon nor is it normally a big setback other than in the race that it occurs. It seems to occur most predominantly in horses approaching or at full fitness. As for inferring that Quinine is a "go fast" or triggers some form of hormonal response is rubbish. Not all horses that have AF need to be given AF as the recovery can be just as quick as the onset. The science around this issue is comprehensive. I must say we had a horse that had AF who came back and won the next start. She obviously ran faster than the previous start where she had AF but she didn't run any faster than she already had shown she could. So the Blueprint gets bigger: Late 3yr old, dropping back from premier to mid week, with blinkers first time, unlucky last start, caught wide without cover, had AF and was treated with Quinine and isn't pregnant.
  18. It is nothing like Lotto at all. However this comment reinforces your lack of understanding. The probability of any one number being drawn in Lotto is the same. The price (value) of those numbers are the same.
  19. So where do I get the information about "the maturing neddy" from? How do I relate that to predicted performance? How do I differentiate one "maturing neddy" from another in the same race?
  20. The point is, which you fail to understand, is you can't predict if that horse will be "unlucky and wide" in the next race. You still must go back to assessing the horse's ability relative to the field and then look for price value.
  21. That's the best you can come up with? In between the personal insults I don't see any logic or rational thought process from you. What I have learnt from reading your garbage is that I know a lot more than I thought I did. Certainly Mardigras and Curious have added to that knowledge.
  22. Depends if he wears blinkers to class or not.
  23. It won't make any difference increasing stakes. The horse population is no longer there. Note the decline in quality in our Open Handicappers across ALL distances. Note the decline in quality in our non age group Group Races even when they still have comparatively good stakes. It amazes me how we debate on BOAY the quality of a race, how to punt properly, the merits of various horses versus others and so on. However how many of you have noted that again the NZRB aka RITA has soaked up another $24m in reserves to keep stakes at their current levels plus using Pokie money. There is less than one year of reserves left and from what I can see no improvement in revenue collected. The day of reckoning is very very close and I'm afraid I can't see this Government giving a handout to help.
  24. You are becoming tedious and certainly you are not maturing. Can you predict if the "neddy" is going to be unlucky again in its next race? No you can't. Can you predict if another horse will be "luckier"? No you can't. So the point is it is a waste of time worrying about something as subjective as "lucky" or "unlucky." Likewise with blinkers and every other aspect of the BS BP. You can't predict what will happen in the next race therefore, and this is the point you fail to understand, you need to determine value on previous facts relative to that horse's ability relative to the field it is racing against. The TAB loves types like you as you continue to lose hence you assist revenue collecting. Keep on doing the industry a favour - it needs you!
  25. Yep Thomaas immediately throws a rational discussion out the window.
