  1. and they take until now?
  2. Nice. I had a place multi on my two and MM. Still shaking my head at the performance of the Craze. I would have got plenty.
  3. So why were these charges not laid at the time of the original ones? The police turn them up now? Bizarre.
  4. So was I. Only explanation. Went awful. Can't explain.
  5. Sir, you know too much for your own good.
  6. Trivia question, Alexy is having his 226th start tonight and in those starts he has only gone right handed twice for 2 last placings. Luckily he goes far better left handed? Without searching it up, Who trained Alexy for those 2 right handed starts?
  7. Where? At Rollestonvale?
  8. Back on the grit after not enjoying the grass at Geraldine. The form at Cup time was very solid running behind Kings Landing and Springbank Lachie. Has a touch of form at Forbury with 3 starts for a placing so track is ok for her . The placing happened to be a very strong second to Springbank Lachie again where she ended 4 back the inside and wide on the home turn being running on very strongly. The 2.20FF for the place makes her a great each way bet as she must be a big chance to run a place at least.
  9. I can't believe She's Allthe Craze is at 5.80 and 2.20FF in race 5 tomorrow night. I think that is great money. Taken those odds and also multied her up with Fun In the Dark in race 7.
  10. You just made it favourite, Mardy.
  11. True, but what does it say about the state of racing in the north? I didn't even hear it was going to be happening, was it flagged on the HRNZ website? I thought it would have been big news.
  12. She would been one of the better ones in the mares races if she had stayed... She will probably go boom in America.
  13. Here are the horses. For a bit of fun label the winner in each one.
  14. 2 fields of 7 for the Green Miles which is disappointing but at least they are not running a monte race like they are at Auckland. You know you are screwed when you have 5 trotting races out of a 9 race programme and one of them is a monte. How will one bet on that? Makes me want to dive deep into my wallet when I see an amateurs drivers race next time. Cambridge fields tonight are tiny too. Auckland is already full of low quality southern pacers so if the alarm bells are not ringing now they will never be. Maybe the President of the ATC can close the door on the way out.
  15. ...and the Xmas at the Races packages are cancelled because of the conditions in the grass car park area. Oamaru can be a bog after rain. Not often you see common sense prevail twice in a week.
  16. Well done to Sheree Tomlinson for winning it so convincingly. She is getting better and better. It is a great pathway and incentive for the younger ones to be able to work towards events like this so I hope the powers that be recognise the importance of these events for the long term sustainability of the industry.
  17. But I am. I don't have the knowledge these things.
  18. I am not a practitioner in harness racing so don't know the nitty gritty of things. It may be an ignorant request on my part but I find receiving the information 3 minutes before they race annoying.
  19. When they showed the head on after the race it looked like Orange and Pegasus Kommander were all over the place. In the passing lane then out of it. Cullenmore didn't seem to be able to be let down which is odd considering it wasn't even cramped for room either side. I wonder if it will be a warning for Mr Orange in the stipes report.
  20. Had a peek to try and see what you are seeing. Methven was ok effort from back on the pegs against better horses. No chance at Kaikoura being back on the inside too. 3rd to All About Henry and Beau Vista at Methven trials. Unfinished Business and Every Option might be better than him but worse draws. Holding up at 12 and 4 50 FF. If you are there Newmarket, why do you think he is a great bet as I might go each way on him.
  21. The 5FF was good. Gives me some play money to blow next week at Oamaru and Methven. There are going to be some good bets at those two meetings...I can feel it in my bones ?
  22. or whoever takes responsibility. Yesterday I heard before the race Motu Great Sensation is in foal. Sometimes in the past mares have gone very well once they are. After Mama Knows Best ran too bad to be true in season at Ashburton a few weeks back and hearing that just before the race I would like to propose the following. 30 minutes before the fixed odds come out for a meeting (so 5pm most days) an information sheet is put out regarding runners for the meeting. This would include horses in foal, horses in season, gelded horses, changes in training deemed important enough by the trainer, driving tactics to be employed if different from previous, updates from trainers of horses which were previously mentioned in stipes reports eg slow recovery rates. I am sure there might be some other things to include and wouldn't be hard to implement. If punters are being shared this kind of information just prior to the race then I think it should be formalised and done in a proper manner to benefit punters. After all, generating confidence in the betting seems a priority at the moment.
