    Just reading this below. Isn't it about time the pasty males in charge got up to date with the lingo. Shouldn't it be horseperson in the rules? b) No horseman is permitted to use their whip in a striking motion on more than ten occasions inside the final 400 metres. This is inclusive of “backhanders” and the use applies to the horse, harness and/or sulky.

    I have watched the race a few times over to see how bad it was. Tactically, it was inept with a few very questionable decisions. Ironically, if he had got in the trail after the start his horse could have won the race in my opinion. At least he did not use the whip to any great extent on the horse so that is one thing. The careless driving charge against Butt was a just as bad piece of driving for me.

    On a day of out there drives I still wonder how Mighty Reactor got to keep 4th place after extinguishing the dividend bearing chances of 2 horses 100m from the winning post.
