  8. Garrick Knight‏ @GarrickRKnight 1h1 hour ago More A prominent Canterbury trainer had not turned up at his stables by 12.30 this afternoon. This is highly unusual, according to someone else based there. His horses have not been worked or fed and his phone was off. Police have not been to the stable. WTF
  9. what if their horse was no chance to win anyways and the tactic allowed it to place
  10. I agree with you and people in the industry would accept this goes on but the general public would see this as a massive rort

  13. More I understand the relevance of the New Zealand Derby in this equation is minimal. It seemingly relates to a runner, that was not in the first three, being administered something on race day.
  14. pretty sure that is not factually correct
  15. Sources have told Stuff the NZ Derby at Addington last year is part of the investigation and that people interviewed were asked about phone conversations that had been monitored by the police. last years or last seasons
  16. i know chief man the winner was nearly taken out at the first bend lol they must have conversations to make sense of this alleged fixing
  17. The Informant understands at least three more stables in the wider Canterbury region have been visited by Police this morning. Two are in North Canterbury and one is in West Melton.

  23. Michael Guerin‏ @GuerinSports 39m39 minutes ago More The latest race fixing story update, which now included charges for recreational drug use/supply. I would suggest the drug use charges have come about from info gained from phone taps trying to prove race fixing.
  24. Plot twist - the 47 year old from Palmerston North has a high profile in the thoroughbred industry.
  25. The “27yo” man in Palmerston North is actually 47 years old. Police confirm an error at their end and will be adjusting their release shortly.
