  1. No 1000 metre maiden. No 38k stake. Even Forbes Cup stake wasn't 38k.
  2. That is really poor form (pardon the pun) from the TAB. Might pay to ring and see if you can get a refund. Use another site for form. I have found TAB form can miss recent runs. Try https://www.thegreyhoundrecorder.com.au/form-guides/
  3. Should definitely be sold off for housing, but why not just transfer the racing from there to Ashburton? Isn't there a new road system just about finished to make the trip there quicker? Timaru a way better track, but possibly a bit far away. Be good if you could get a train from Christchurch to these places.
  4. Trebles already are terminating pools. The pool gets evenly distributed using a countback system.
  5. Quaddies on NZ races are not commingled and have the same high takeouts.
  6. What happens if you lose again? Do you go on a double?
  7. Wouldn't you feel like a mug making your next bet one that offers less value than the previous?
  8. Two other solutions to improve quaddie betting. Get rid of the place 6, trebles and doubles and likely quaddie pools will increase. Stop being greedy and taking the extra 6% from local stuff and commingle the pools to increase their size.
  9. He tipped Endless Drama for a place in the Stradbroke.
  10. Problem would be you need half a million in the account to do it.
  11. The guy on Sunday would know more about it than John.
  12. Would be nice if they just made it a permanent change. It's what the people want. Give it the blue on blue treatment if you have to, but don't be bloody minded about things and spend more millions on a twenty extra clicks alternative that people don't want or need when this works fine.
  13. Click on Extended Form. Opens in new window. Point to a jockey and click. Point to 'Jockey' (next to 'Overview') and click. That will show jockeys declared rides. Might be an easier way, but I haven't been able to find it on this 50 million dollar piece of crap.
  14. Just open another tab and use this: http://www.tabonline.com.au/2019/01/12/scratch.html Everything on one page and easy to read.
  15. http://tabinfo.com.au/weloveabet/racing/racenet.html?dclid=CjkKEQiAyMHhBRCxlK_xjeORgdsBEiQA-zmZychGRR6HaOn8UW0fsxuK-MQmX0GwrhvnndI3JpVcJ5rw_wcB
  16. The AGM was a bit of a hard watch. I was sure John was going to break that microphone off continually fiddling with it. I know punters aren't generally a very smart lot. Just look at the ones still betting on trifectas with the NZ TAB, but I just can't believe they really want this new fixed odds betting engine as much as John says they do. The massive returns it is going to produce through better margins just means that the punters will be worse off. No punters I know want 4 trillion options per day to bet on. The punters I know bet win or place and whatever their favourite mug money exotics are. They have the odd bet on sports they follow and think they know something about. Is anybody here counting down the days until this engine fires into life? And John talked about a whole lot of new customers. I hope the guy that opened about 30 new accounts at the TAB I go to and came in wanting to know why they hadn't all got the bonus money put in them, only got counted once, not thirty times.
  17. If you're a punter, you'd know there was racing at Riccarton today. If not then you could ask a punter or have a look online. http://www.nzcupandshow.co.nz/ https://www.theraces.co.nz/festival/cup-and-show-week Not much there to encourage someone to have a bet or get involved in ownership. It's just all about dressing up and drinking. Don't think I would expect to enjoy eating at Riccarton if I went today, based on my last few visits there. Only person I know going today is part of a group that will collectively spend thousands on new frocks, bags and shoes, as they can't wear the same stuff they wore last year. Unlikely they will bet more than $20 combined. Maybe a few easybets and or some $1 each way bets. Maybe some of the 6500 new account holders will have a go today. I'm looking forward to seeing what the track is like, then watching the two Open races and the Guineas.
  18. I think you will find a cash out option will be in place much sooner than that.
  19. The most likely thing you find in these types of places is that you can't even get on the TAB site using their free WiFi, as it's a gambling site. Tell most people these days that you are interested in horse racing and they will instantly think you're a problem gambler always leaving your kids locked in the car while you go to the TAB and punt away the money you stole from your employer.
  20. You would have to take into account the amount you would loose from other pools and there's the argument that it lessens the churn amount while punters are still live. If Australians could have NZ TAB accounts and bet on it then it might have some hope in getting the TAB some growth but I don't think they can.
  21. Yeah they do. Big6 on tab.com.au. Today at Roehill pool was smaller than the early quaddie. Not terminating, but you're better off with quaddies.
