Must be the best bred and have the most to live up to on the Coast circuit. How did it pay $11. Not that I backed it but have been watching it the three days. Very well related to Marcoola AND is out of a sister to the mother of the mighty Creek making them cousins in human terms. Cannot get much better breeding and also sired by Love You Trained by the master Paul Nairn, owned by the breeders of the Creek has a lot to live up to. Now a 5 year old have been very patient with it. Will watch its progress very closely

Its not just horses "past their best". A lot of upcomming and average horses grow a leg when transfered to aus. The reason IMO is that they train and drive them differently. Agressive training, trials and then racing hard week in week out. I believe we are too soft here in Nz racing. in most cases every couple of weeks and then racing with a cover in a sprint home. Most are afraid to sit parked or make a move untill the straight as they might flatten the horse. Look how they race in Aus, leading or sitting parked is often the place to be and then they race again the next week. They dont seem to get tired in Aus by a hard run one week, come out the next week and run better. It must be in the training and the horses are a lot tougher than we in NZ give them credit for. there are coutless examples of these types of horse in Aus, Tiger T., Smoken Up, Blackes a fake, all the Tritton. Puzzuto, Hall, Lilley, Stewart etc horses. A large percentage of these ex NZ ones. A lot of Nz trainers could do with going to Aus for a stint and then come back and use their methods, Despite what some will say i believe the All stars have mastered this Aussie technique of training and is why they have success with their horses being able to sit parked and still win.

Four winners not tested. All from differnt trainers so not sure what you mean as knowing which 2 horses you are talking about. Jonty James who finished 8th was tested. Now thats a bit random.

Thanks for that Happy Didnt realise they put them up the night before for a few minutes and then put them to sleep. No point really. If you want to have a bet before work like I did yesterday at about 7.30am they are not there`. So I didnt bother with the earlier races. The Aus site I was referring to was the WA tab which when I looked would have been at 2.30am and they were open for business.

Since I posted this I see Auck have put their FOs up and good old adders has got around to going just race one HAHA

How can an Aussie TAB site that I look up on have fixed odds out for both Addington and Auckland tonight when the NZ Tab carnt. That beggars belief! Either the Aussie site is guessing the prices or they are setting the NZ market or they have info from the NZ Tab that hasnt been put up yet. They both generally copy the others markets NOT go up first. Will be interesting to see if they have made some big mistakes when the NZ market finally appears. Its not good enough NZ Tab addington is less than 7 hrs away from starting and they carnt get their act together. Oh its nearly Xmas maybe they are on holiday by now.

Bopper Jet just won again in Aus last night (Wed) at Geelong. Typical RB run, sat last in a small field and came with the last run wide to win easily and run down the $1.10 fav who led. Paid $6 Richard must be getting well up in age now but showed that he hasnt lost any of his patience or ability to drive winners. Well done to him for his perserverence in Bopper who was a bit wayward in his earlier days. A few more wins left in the horse I would think on that run.

Hardly tame Happy! rated 1.59 mr for 2700 plus. Was the fastest mr of the IDs and over the greatest distance. Was clearly the best horse of the series and in the final the rest could not just keep up on the fast pace. No wonder there was no moves, suicide if you did

He makes a lot of sense. BUT would increasing the limit not only increase turnover but increase the take from the successfull punters that he is alluding to. Their substantial greater wins and profit would have to come from some where, so the TAB by gaining extra turnover would lose more in paying out the bigger wins. Not an easy problem to solve trying to keep all, punters and the TAB happy and both profitable. As he said the punter has a lot more tools available these days and this helps winning punters be more sucessful. Any ideas to keep both happy

I wouldnt call him a grinder at all so cannot see him sitting parked and winning. He is a speed horse who runs his best races in front and also has a devastating sprint when held for one run. Sorry but if hes parked carnt see him in the first six. He is my pick to win the race for the past month so I hope he doesnt end up parked. Will be a very interesting first quarter as the whole of the front line like to either lead or be on the pace. Best gate speed IMO Galactic Star, Mach Doro and Tiger Tara. Funny enough all Aussie horses.

The hot fav who led has had only five starts and not long out of maidens. RR last raced in NZ in the Kaikoura Cup so on that alone was a good bet and you would expect it to fight all the way to the line given its substantial class edge. Gods Sprit may be a very good animal but can you imagine a horse with five starts being fav in the KK cup. I think not.

Rakapuka Ruler just won its first start in Aus today at Menangel and paid the incredible price of $6. Went 1.50.2. Now surely that time would have been competetive in NZ or has it grown another leg like a lot of horses do when they go to Aus.

Hi Happy, been to Melton and Ballarat. Enjoyed Melton, and thought the track was great and downstairs publice facitlies very good but as you say not much room for a large crowd, only a few hunded seats upstairs and had to run up each race or watch on the grass where most came out of the public area. But good racing and good track to watch at. Stayed thenight at Melton and not a bad wee town and only half an hour from Melbourne. Ballaat was the other end of the scale. The worst track I have been to in Australasia for facitlites. Paid to have a window table and food. Had to walk 50 meters to bar and only two operators open and they were the same distance away. Ok track to watch from, close to the action but lighting not as good as melton so wouldnt bother going but comes across as good on TV. On the other hand Ballarat town is a great spot to visit and stay, old historic buildings and lovely cafes. Havnt been to Cranbourne but other track I enjoyed are, Albion Park and Redcliff, both good viewing, GPark great viewing and good facitities and Pinjara well woth a visit if in WA. Very good track with good facities for a country track.

let it ride & italian delight out of interdoms
Harewood replied to Rangatira's topic in Trotting Chat
Nothing but a straight out mistake so all you conspiracy theorists are out of luck. Butt runners scratched from Inter Doms By Michael Guerin An oversight from top trainer Tim Butt has ended his Inter Dominion pacing assault. And cost him A$1000 in the process. Butt had his two pacers Let It Ride and Italian Delight withdrawn from their heats at Ballarat on Tuesday and therefore the remainder of the series after he took blood off them today for a routine blood test. Harness Racing Victoria rules forbid horses having any form of injection used on them for a clear 24 hours before raceday so stewards had little option but to scratch the pair. The irony is Butt, who until last year trained with great success in Canterbury, actually told the stewards he had broken the rule. “They rang me to ask how the horses were and I told them I had just taken a blood to have it tested to make sure they were fine,” said Butt. “Then the told me I can’t do that and it dawned on me, no injections the day before the races even if it is extracting rather than putting anything into the horses. “It is totally my mistake. I guess in the back of my mind I knew the rule but I honestly didn’t think about it. “So I will have to cop that and apologise to the owners.” Stewards accepted their was nothing sinister in Butt’s actions and fined him A$1000. The pair join local star Shadow Sax in being withdrawn from the series yesterday and leave the Kiwi pacing trio of Cruz Bromac, Spankem and I’m Pats Delight as three of maybe only six serious winning chances left for the A$500,000 final on Saturday week -
HAHAHA funniest post this year. Good luck with the rest of your life however short it may be.

So your promoting that all drugs should be come legal, sell them in supermarkets, let anybody buy them and then there will be no conflict as you put it, no armed robberies for money and the authorities will have more time to devote on more pressing matters. Sound like a Tui ad to me. Surely you are having us on. Do you have any idea what effect escatacy, P, heroine etc etc have on the comunity, families, health services and all the other related social services. If you do you would not post such an outragous and absurd.comment.

Last night won its first race at GP and 2nd in WA. 125K 4yr old race. No wonder they are snapping up our good prommising horses when there is this money on offer.
-
Maybe you show move over there and join all the humans who live there. What a joke. You clearly have no concept of reality and all the damage these drugs do to families never minding the individual who takes them. Then there is all the crime, often violent perpetuated to get these drugs. I sincerly hope you see the error of you ways before your life is ruined.

Well you havnt fallen off so far. Hope youve got live place multis going. Thought Sierra Gold was a good chance after its KK run.

Interdominion Pacing & Trotting Champs: Pick the Winner
Harewood replied to Happy Sunrise's topic in Trotting Chat
Wrappers Delight, Shadow Sax, Cruz Bromac(absolute cert), Our Twenty Ten, Tornado Valley(a given) -
Good on them for sending their "pet" Locharburn to aus. He is now not competetive in NZ and as Tritton says the system over there assists horses to find their grade and get a return. The Chapmans will still own hin so if it doesnt work out he will come back to retire Im sure. It will be interesting to see how he is driven because as we know Tritton horses seem to know only one way to run. In front fast and try and outstay their rivals. This may suit Loch but 1/does he have gate speed and 2/will they be able to get a little more speed out of him over the final half. We all know he can stay but even today at a lowly Menangle meeting the two better races came home in 55 sec which according to Chapman the Loch carnt do. Will be watching with interest and good luck to them

How many is G Hall going to take back with him. Already Major Trojan who I think will be a star to the Hall camp and i would not be surprised if Aha Reaction who he drove on Fri at Ak ends up there. Very very impressive.
