Yes . When they introduced them to Aus harness they were dominated by the female scandinavian riders as this is commn over there. Look for any such riders at Auck as they just know how to ballance sitting atop in a monte trott look at Kima Fenning for example in Victora. Came over just to ride in the montes and is now a very proficient harness driver in her own right. Loves being in front and rates them very well. They run for her.

Has certainly been tripping around Aus, even been to Tassie in the last year, however has not won a race since April 2017 although quite a few placing and in good times. 155 starts for 560 K so has paid its way. Shouldnt be hard to place up north but yes have to wonder why bring back a 10 yr old gelding. May be still owned in NZ and they want to retire it here after a few starts. Think Destreos, 14 years and still racing in Aus. They are tougher in Aus I think the way they hard train and race them week in week out.

Yes great to see other horses interested and entered for the cup. Will be worth wtching this year. To me Cruz Bromac is not a good stand start horse and not a 2 miler. Maybe the FFA will suit better as definately has a lot of speed. Could be another Steel Jaw as does like to lead! Will be intersting to see what polish the AS can put on the horse to lift it a notch or two for the Cup.

Horsham today. Very low class Monday meeting. 8 race programme. Emma Stewart has horses in 6 races. Six wins 100% for the day. Now thats domination. Doesn't leave much for the rest of Victorian trainers. Usually wins most of the group races and now all the rest. I wonder when the exodus to NZ where it is easier to win will start.? Her secret. A very good trainer with very good horses and a very good driver, C Alford.
-
She had starters in 5 Group 1 Breeders Crown races for 3 wins and 2 seconds. Thats got to be pretty dominant.
-
So does that make it wrong. For someone who loves harness racing you are very critical of anyone who doesnt adhere to Brodies criteria. Maybe just maybe you are not on the money on this one. Brodie for Chairman of HRNZ. Lets just have All stars V Dunns etc every race.
-
Thought this site was for open discussion without fear of nasty comments and ridicule. Maybe i was wrong and you carnt disagree with Brodie on this site as he runs it.
-
Well I carnt be botherd with BS like you spin. You wont admit when you are wrong or made a mistake. Not knitting just saying it as it is. You did not say the AS will dominate. You siad they will win a 2yr old group race. No one disagreeing with that. Just that you have expanded things to not what was posted. Please get it right Your BS is h ard to take!!
-
No Brodie. Hunter said that he has heard the Purdon domination of the two year olds will be over this year and is prepared to take odds on this. You said that "The AllStars won’t have group winning two year olds??" He did not say the AS will not have a group winning two year old just that they will not dominate this year. Like I said read the posts before adjusting the content to how you think it should read.
-
Thats not what he said Brodie. Read his post and stop making things up.

So you would tell the golfer who loves his leisure activity and pays good money he is waiting his time. Come on Brodie your not that heartless. Not everyone is a champion or even average and that applies to horses. If the horse qualified it is allowed to race. There are many that qualify and never win a race. Those that a trainer is paid to have will obviously have a shorter race career of they are no good however when it is your hobby and passion and you own and train then why not carry on. Its not costing you much except your time. No training fees, no driving fees, only food and nominations. He bred the horse and loves it. Its not that easy to get another with some ability as you suggest if he is a hobby trainer. Kelly Evander gained cult status when it was racing and I admire Mr O'Connor for perservering for so long and enjoying his passion
-
Bred, owned, trained and driven by the same person. What a great hobby to have. Without these sort of people, Mr B O'connor, a lot of races would not have sufficient starters to even have a race. He and other like amateur trainers need to be encouraged and not run down or do we want only the Purdons, Dunns etc to be allowed to train. I am sure he loved every moment with the horse. Its no offence for him to start the horse when he wants to and we are under no obligation to back it so why is it so wrong for the horse to have kept racing. A bit like a mug golfer who buys and expensive set of clubs, has coaching lessons, pays his membership fees and plays off a 36 handicap. tell him its an aboslute wast of time!

Amost but no cigar.

Can you please put this post in coherent English that we may all understand instead of Pigeon English. It may be interesting

Check out how many the Emma Stewart stable will win tomorrow night at the Aus Premier race night, The Breeders Crown and you will see what domination is. The all Stars have nothing on this Juganault. And there is no moaning or complaining, the rest just get on with it and try to beat them. AND this is before they race. Watch and enjoy !!
-
She was entered to make sure there was even a race for Great Things Happen to be in. She showed her real ability and will surely win a few trotting races. i feel sorry fo those who backed her earlier into odds on. First start trotting. Yeah Right!

You are throwing stones at abrick wall! There are two sites with a number of persons contributing on both sites and a greater number only on their preferred site. By holding a grudge you remind me of a road rage driver who in the end only gets himself worked up and forgets the greater cause ie driving the RC/BOAY forward and safely. Lets just enjoy discussions on what we love
-
I understand that however some have bought this on themselves somewhat with their one eyed dogmatic I am always right opinnions. A little bit of flexibility goes along way in life.
-
I have deceided to post on both sites as i love harness racing and the discussions that go with it. I will comment when something takes my fancy or i think someone is shall we say misrepresnting the truth. This happens on both sites but I will not run one site down just to gain points as several posters do.
-
So you were told to leave Happy. I dont think so. Just like me you love harness racing so dont lower yourself into this stupid them V us nonsense.
-
Correct. Several times when the whole course was in fog for several of the races. You could only see them as they came down the home straight and that was still hard to see. Can remember Reon comentating from the mobile driving around the outside of the track in front of the field. Would not be allowed to day for sure lol. Was there one night 15July 1985 when it was one of those pea soup nights. Could only just see the straight from where I was in the old wooden members stand. One of my old favs, the freelegged pacer Rosin trained by J Burrows was in a 2 mile race starting off 10 meters. Not a good stand start horse by any means but backed it anyway just to win. And away they went somewhere down the back. Into the straight at about the 200 the comemtator said "and Rosin is in front" Somehow he must have made a flyer in the gloom!! Anyway still infront the next lap and they dissappeared again. Waiting 90 odd seconds with no commentary as they race down the back with your horse in front is strange to say the least. Surely he carnt hold on over 2 miles. Out of the gloom they come at the 200 and I could only see one horse. A few seconds later the pack is noticible chasing. "And Rosin is still in front" Go you beauty. He won by 7 lenghts and paid around the $20 mark. I dont know what Kerry Oreilly did down the back straight, a short cut maybe, will never know, dont care. A race I will always remember even though I only saw 600 meters of it haha.
-
Correct Brodie Youve missed the boat on this winner.
-
Underestimate this horse at your peril Brodie. He is a seriously good horse who has run the times. Is very good from a stand, can do a lot of work in a race, sit parked or come with one run if the pace is hot. I have seen him race many times, A pocket rocket. If he comes over, which is looking more an more likely he WILL win against a "No Lazarus' field of average horses this year. Harewood is on the money!

Makes Chicago Bull a cert now!
