  1. Didnt know The Whale trained any horses
  2. More and more info about the elusive Brodie. This is a very important piece of info along with the previous tippits eg Wayne, real estate agent. Only one more piece and it will be music to my ears.
  3. They have their own "Purdon" over there to worry about with out the All Stars winning a few races. She is far more dominant in Aus than the All Stars in Nz. Do they complain and bitch about her. NO! EMMA Stewart hasn’t become the most feared trainer in Australian harness racing just because of what her horses do. The stats? 122 starters there for 44 wins and 33 placings, numbers that could be much better but for having multiple starters in the same race, like tomorrow’s Derby. http://www.harness.org.au/media-room/news-article?news_id=39730
  4. Yes saw Monty win last night and Mr Xmas in there as well. Well done and was well overs considering its runs in the IDs. Prob because of one hot fav. Thought Cheerfull for the A stars was best bet at both venues last night. 1.90 was a good price and shows they can win without the boss being there and only one AS horse in the field.
  5. The post was about Machete which you rightly posted on but then halfway thru the postings Sniper pops up hence my question about which horse people are actuelly talking about.
  6. Are we talking about the Sniper or Machete on this post. Seems some confusion. Or is it just anything with All Stars afters its name. A lot of bitter and twisted posters commenting today. Pockets talking????
  7. Your 100% spot on. It carnt be Brodie because he never tips. Saying that you could say he is running at 100% at never tipping a loser also ?
  8. Dont forget his bracketmate Batchelor Blue
  9. One of my favs names and a horse I loved was Basil Dean, fondly known as Basil, who on his day could beat any trotter around. And the greyhound Scott No Money always remined me of my son, happily now he's now doing alright. And another well named was Diamond Moose who was bigger then two of them.
  10. Correct however it was earlier then the 80s, Remember Young Quin, Cardigan Bay, Robin Dundee. Cloudy Bay to name a few top liners that went over in the early years. Where the pacers have gone now ??? Can only be put down to less breeding numbers, part time farmers getting older and out of the game, younger owner trainers not as many about. Cannot blame the All Stars as they rarely venture north except on premier nights and the small fields are week in week out. Maybe when House starts up there the fileds will be bigger as he will have 2 or 3 ex south islanders in each race. Can the SI racing sustain the exodus north?
  11. I realise that. I have been around for a while. What I am saying is that there were a lot of horses sold in the early years when the All Stars were not around. Nothing has changed except probably there are not as many sold now as before. So how has the All Stars got to blame for the exodus of horses overseas when itsbeeen going on for decades.
  12. You do really have a deep seated problem with the All Stars Brodie. There is help available you know when something eats you up inside so badly.
  13. Didnt know they were around in the 60s and 70s when truckloads of horses were going to the US of A
  14. So does the House have your resentment also in that he took all the crumbs as you put it. Or is that ok to smash the locals into submission when all they will ever race for is the crumbs. What is left after the crumbs. Just dust as all the local trainers give up and depart. Is that ok or do we look forward to fields just made up of House runners as there was in Auck the other night or Victoria or Tassie over the ditch. Interested in your comments without bring the All stars up as support as this today is on another level, a much higher one. No grass roots trotting = NO TROTTING.
  15. Yes great effort. When it was 5/5 I thought OMG hes going to win the card. My question is, not necessarily to those who have posted here, but how come when House wins almost every race gets the plaudits and rightly so, when the All Stars win 3 races on a card there are deemded bad for the industry, all other trainers are disgruntled, and trotting is on a slipperly slide because of them. Something very wrong here with some peoples logic and very hypocritical.
  16. Brodie has a lot to answer for!
  17. On fire. Hope you got plenty Backed A Rose on your selections. Thankyou.
  18. Must surelybe a typo. No horse moves from 5.50 to 1.16 in one hit on fixed odds Can happen on the tote if a big bet but FO means they took a bet and didnt want any more so made it ridiculous, however is now at 4.80 FO so that defies that logic. Will be interesting to see where it ends up and watchwith interest. Not my money thou.
  19. How do you pull a horse in the lead and one in the trail. They both had their chance, tried hard and wern't good enough. So your saying the work wasn't put into the horses so they were not fit enough. So they are going to up the work now and win the big races. Sounds like a Tui add. Yeah Right!
  20. I think "Ranga" as you call him is referring to the below posts which I think you may have misread and jumped at. Time for Spec savers Brodie ?
  21. You are a strange deluded and for some reason bitter man Peter.
  22. Chase Auckland remains the most interesting Chariots player. He returned from more than 10 months out through injury with a well-held fourth to Kevin Pizzuto’s Chariots hopeful, Picard, at Menangle last Saturday night. Opinions varied on the run, but Purdon said it was “about what we expected to be honest.” “We’ve done everything we can at home, he just needs the racing now and he’ll come on a lot from the other night,” he said. “He’ll back-up in the Hondo Grattan (a Chariots qualifier) at Menangle this week.”
  23. I saw it scratched just after midday on an Aussie site. They said yesterday it would have a vet exam this morning and was only a 50/50 chance of starting. Obviously they got the wrong 50. Big shame because it was going to be agreat spectacle with T Valley in front and the rest trying to run it down. Certainly opens it up for Marcoola now. http://www.harness.org.au/media-room/news-article?news_id=39382
  24. Because of the scratching nobody will be getting 3.70 even if they think they will when Marcoola wins. Shame the match race wont be on.
