  1. Great trotters in Norway. Maybe you are onto something. Is this the undisclosed secret.
  2. True but the good ones already in training will go to good trainers i am sure and the younger ones which will cost big money will also be placed with the better trainers. I dont think many will eend up with the "poor trainers" as you put it. So the same owners will keep winning surely
  3. Marks 56 I sure will have plenty of money behind him so why not ease up. There are thusands of affluent people who retire in their 40s and 50s to enjoy life. Look at Brodie who tells us he doesnt need to work any more. Why should MP be any diffenrent or are you just annoyed that he is giving up LOL
  4. Surely if your a good horse (an AS horse) your still going to be a good horse with a different trainer hence they will still win good races and the same owners will still win. Also the As owners will still buy good well bred horses, cause they can, so will they keep winning so the same owners will keep winning the big money. Can you expain how this will not happen just because the AS are now not training, well not publically anyway.
  5. Yes some outstanding racing at Melton similar to our Jewels except they had to go though lots of qualifying heats. Some outstanding horses running in what will be very fast and competetive racing. Non more so than Ladies in Red who is an absolute star in the making. Im picking the As will win at least 3 and maybe 4
  6. Always keen to have a go so here are my selections. Well done Karrots in initiating a picking comp. Keep up the enthusiasm. R1 Monkie Selphie R2 Shezadeal R3 Beyond Words R4 Kings Landing R5 Bettor Twist R6 Taipo R7 B D Joe R8 Sundees Son R9 Amazing Dream R10 Bettor Listen Not horses I would back most of them but my top selections. A great night of racing combinded with Melton where there are 12 G1s on the card.
  7. He didnt train it though
  8. In general offending uner this charge is deemed that you have breached trust by the courts. That is treated as a serious matter as you have given the person money or access to it in the good faith that they will honour and look after the trust you have placed in them. Treated way more seriously than if you commit theft of an unknown person. Plenty of case law available if you reserch it.
  9. It is now known as Theft by a person in a special relationship. and definately covers what he did. 220Theft by person in special relationship (1) This section applies to any person who has received or is in possession of, or has control over, any property on terms or in circumstances that the person knows require the person— (a) to account to any other person for the property, or for any proceeds arising from the property; or (b) to deal with the property, or any proceeds arising from the property, in accordance with the requirements of any other person. (2) Every one to whom subsection (1) applies commits theft who intentionally fails to account to the other person as so required or intentionally deals with the property, or any proceeds of the property, otherwise than in accordance with those requirements.
  10. His offending is very similar to the crime "Theft as a servant" He was the worker (servant) to those that owned the horses and paid the bills. This type of offence nealy always gets jail time.
  11. That is your view of it. I saw it as when she restrained LF King OS came out underneath her any maybe thought the parked was up for the taking as Colt had just sprinted to get there. As I have said it was not a good move in hindsight. This happennes all the times in Aus racing, sometimes they get there sometimes they dont. Thats what makes Aussie racing a lot more exciting than NZ
  12. No not at all. Was at the rear and took off 3 wide not 4 to try and get up to the favoued parked position. This flushed out Colt who then went to the parked position. Lilca Flash could not then get there so pulled back as you would do rather than take the fav on. As it ws L Flash finnished on strongly from the rear so you would say had to be unluckly that it could not have got closer when it wanted to.
  13. I watched this race live and thought there was nothing wrong with it in relation to many others races I have watched. Due to the controversy now posted have watched again several times. Only two incidents I took notice of, 1/ King of Stars comming out of the 1 two was unusual but the way McMullan drives and maybe thought he would be best placed facing the breeze the lst lap. In hindsite was obviously a bad move and 2/ Why didnt Dixon take the trail at the turn and then use the passing lane. Would prpbably have won then The horse 3rd at this point dived down to trail and only just failed. A good race to watch and like many races you see in Aus, horses driven hard off the gate and then lots of chalenges unlike NZ where we stay in formation and there are so many unluckly runners (or not wanting to )
  14. Yes trained by Barry and driven by Zac Butcher paid around 16s I think
  15. Think hes put a new motor in a couple
  16. Id be happy for $659 to be unders if I had a dollar on and got that back
  17. I have actuelly "heardthings" and it is not good but dont want to spread rumours Thought Davis would know as he brought it up
  18. What is this about. I heard he handed in his trainers licence last Sunday with no warning to stable clients and the horses are transferred to his dad Paul forthwith, More to this than meets the eye I would imagine,
  19. Im sorry you are NOT on the money this time Brodie. Mikie is quite correct in his analysis of the dividends as shown. There is only 1 winner in the race so if 2 or 5 win as it stands and no more invested then they scoop the pool minus the deductions which leaves the one punter with the $ on $659.10 Show you how much the Tab takes $120.90 in this case or 15.5%
  20. Think you are thinking to much into this Jess. It is not a conspiracy as you may have alluded to. It happens too often, almost every race, to think that it was planned for the Cup. Whether it is a maiden race or a G1 allways gets it wrong and horses and connections suffer . He is the starter so it is off his own back. He needs to be replaced.
  21. Yes it was actuelly and thats no bull
  22. As much as I love Copy That I do not think a hard 2 miles is his go. I have followed him since he was a wayward young horse who could hardly pace a yard without breaking to now possibly the most brilliant horse racing in NZ. He can win if he gets a soft run in behind but will need all favors over the 3200. Too much of a risk. I will say he cannot win if he leads. My pick is Self Assured who can do some work or sprint home with the best of them. Im not worried about the start over the back where it is quiet away from the crowd noise. And I cannot get Classie Brigades run out of my mind when he ran a NZ track record and showed a different side sprinting from last. Was an awesome win. Can finnish over the top of them if run at record pace. Good luck everbody and we will all have egg on our face if another Borana pops up out of the pack.
  23. The facts are I never said I was right. I made a mistake. Did the world end. You started all the abuse and nonsense so just give it a rest and move on
  24. Dont let the facts get in the way of a good story will you Peter. Your first comment to me was "It is a fucking pacer lol" No wonder people react to you in the same way as your not a nice person.
  25. Thanks for your advice Basil and I agree with what you say. I just dont like it when someone who doesnt know what they are talking about and just resorts to nastyness thinks they can get the last word in. His last post just called me Trevor who ever that may be. Someone who he obviously doesnt like and thinks its me. Your right he will be he only poster shortly talking to and abusing himself lol
