Are the turnover figures publicly accessible anywhere these days? I miss the old school "Harness Racing Weekly". One reason being it was always interesting to see the turnover fugures for the respective meetings each week and year (season) to date.

Is there anything to read into with B Orange off Scorcha and back with Stickman (3 win horse)? I might be over-thinking it. I just lose a bit of confidence with no Orange on and electing for another. Should fight out the quinella, but there's a lot of confidence around Overarm. Interesting race.

I only have one tip. Good to see the interval between races is only 25 minutes or thereabouts. Well done. Whoever decided to do this, please if you can, keep doing it. It is a positive step to enhancing the oncourse experience for the patrons.

Actually, come to think of it, that is probably the reason why the club introduced the rankings system. Knew they couldn't get 15 genuine open class horses to make up the field, so they call upon a ranking system. That and another try hard effort to copy the Victoria Racing Club with their cup.

Rankings have meant nothing in the past. Any horse that has paid up gets in. The club seems adamant that 15 horses start in the event, regardless of their actual rating (eg 97 or 103 etc). It could be argued some horses shouldn't even be in the Cup field. A far cry from the old days, when horses needed to be bonafide open class horses to be eligible for a start.

Totally agree. Only thing I'll add is obviously most, if not all of these horses will not be screwed down 100%. And to be fair, UMC is still learning the game. I just hope he gets away well on Sunday, goes a good race and comes through it ok. Would almost be inclined to keep a bit up the sleeve and just run him in behind and act as a glorified trial. Step it up a notch at Ashburton in the Flying Stakes, then let rip in the Cup. Just a pity he doesn't have a couple of stablemates to assist with some team driving!

Kincsem Park is the racecourse in Budapest. Very good establishment and facilities. Run dogs, trots and gallops all at the same venue.

That'll be real handy. Retards!! Ya buggered though if you wanted to know the stats for fresh up, or 2nd up however. Pathetic. Once again, how can the Aussie betting agencies do this (for Addington, show the fresh up stats etc) yet the NZ TAB can't? Useless.

Thanks Brodie for the background info. But why would HRNZ bother to ask about a name change, if they were only ever going to rubber stamp it anyway? Don't ask.
