It's simple, and has been for years, Ellis, Velas and NZB have forced to run a structure of high stakes etc to sustain themselves. And now its falling apart. Some of the purchaser/vendors that NZB have supported to buy at the yearling sales and sell at the RTR have gone to the wall. No domestic market other than Ellis

Its always been about Cameron George - he likes to portray himself as a tough man - not afraid to make the tough decisions etc etc a mini Trump - and I bet he would like that comparison. Getting rid of Johnson was pre-planned and George's public comments a month or so ago and the stories leaked to the press were designed to show Johnson in a less than favourable light. I don't know anything about league and nor does he - his "coaching" comments have no value. That should come from Kearney but I think he is better than that - no need to burn bridges - well there is one - trying to justify your bad decision.

Have mentioned in the past that I don't think the excellent Canterbury presenting crew need any help from their northern counterparts when hosting the big carnivals at Riccarton - they have in the past sent "Pops" down there. Wasn't able to watch any of the 3 days coverage but watched a replay last night and had to put up with Bevan Sweeney. God help us - beyond the pale.

So wandered into the Courtenay Palace TB this morning as I had a few minutes to kill. Thought I would cast my eyes over the gallops races in Aus to see if there was anything that piqued my interest because of breeding etc - something I quite often do. However a look at the "racing" wall showed me no race sheets, no form sheets etc just a few screens that I had to navigate to see form on a race by race basis! Turned around and out the door! Hopefully they put up at least some basic sheets in their more busier times otherwise only a half dozen people could be serviced at any one time! Hope they attract new customers with this stupid innovation because they'll lose me.

Yip and I don't have the time or money to trawl through for on pace runners so I don't bet at Te Rapa.
