Agreed. It was a very good run in defeat. I think my expectations might be too high for our jockeys, but it's much easier to judge the pace from the comfort of my couch. I think if J Mac rode it that way in a four-horse field in Aus, he'd cop some criticism as well.

Does Trackside care about punters? Yes, we can look up the result, but it has been 10 minutes since Trentham was run and won, and there has been no result displayed or discussed on Trackside. Who ran second and third? If you're only watching TS, you wouldn't have a clue. I guess punters can't bet on something in the past, so why even bother displaying results and dividends. Just check your account, aye.

I don't really need to describe just how bad Jasmine Fawcett's ride on Ballon D'Or was, because I'm sure you all saw it. I don't think we'll see a worse ride in NZ today (which is saying something).

Exactly... regardless of how dry the track is down the chute, they can't run those times over an accurate 1200m - especially on a slow6/7.

Aren't times at Trentham always off? Pretty sure 1200m is actually 1150m at that dive.

It stands I found Sweeney funny this morning. Interviewing the track manager (or someone like that) and he stuffed up his intro so he did the intro again, but he clearly wasn't aware he was live. Love Trackside comedy show

Apparently, according to scoobyiqlowerthan30, we're not allowed to criticise tracks. We are allowed to criticise jockeys, though.
