Ignore him Brodie- he has lost the plot and had a melt down if you read his last 6 or so posts. Greg
  3. Your clearly an angry person who is not necessarily au fait with all that has gone on behind the scenes in this whole business. And no im not going to assist you given the stance you have taken . Ranga wrote Everyone i know related to this matter explains the origins of it as Ranga described it above. Was NM collateral damage, my own opinion say yes. Greg
  4. Indeed TG. Is he the right person to lead HRNZ at a board level given this and other actions he has taken?? Greg
  5. Very important point Ranga and the crux of this whole issue. Time to move onto the next case perhaps whatever or whenever it is the in long running saga that INCA has become. Greg
  6. Looks like the grass at today's meeting is about 100 mm at best . Very trampled on the inside 5 lanes? Greg
  7. Pretty useful bloodlines there Lloyd. Ross has been in US for quite awhile now if my fading memory is corect Greg
  8. We might have to revert to sending our best drivers Eljay to give DD some new competition given he was awarded driver of the year. Greg
  9. Where or Is this a potential Tui ad. I must have missed your comeback post Brodie but always knew the TAB would get you back, just like all the other times? Good luck to you and should we start a sweepstake as to how long before you spit the dummy again about TAB?? Greg
  10. You said on numerous occasions previously you will not bet until AML is changed and betting restrictions on you removed. Neither has occurred. Now your saying your going well. No wonder others on here call you a liar cos the evidence is there for all to see with that comment. Personally i dont care whether you bet or not but the length of grass thing is one of the strangest ive ever heard of. Mind you i do like your posts as they quite regularly give me a good laugh. Greg
  11. More nonsense IMHO. The grass tracks you refer to will be a product of NZTR dictate> Even Rangiora being a trial course has to be mowed to a certain length before trials and or races can be run. If you had said they need to have a TB penetrometer reading pre race then why not say so in the first place.. Do you really want to know how high the grass is every one metre or so- your dreaming on this one sunshine and only the loonies will back you up. You say you dont bet but its probably a good thing . Things have moved on and you are obviously not type to move on with them. Greg
  12. Talk about a Brodie case of paralysis by over analysis, punters are not stupid and anyways as you dont bet anymore why are you making such a big deal about it. Surely if it mattered and was a key ingredient in winning ways you would not bring it up, Grass track conditions etc are dictated to by weather and irrigation where the grass is moisture deficient. Greg
  13. No i get that and also you are not that sharp on comprehension given your reply. Ill put it another way for you, a lot of doomsday posters on here are no different to those who wish to protest and act as experts when they are consistently proven wrong, just as that discredited Climate scientist was. The cities are not under water and i postulate that racing will continue well after you, me and Brodie are pushing up daisies. Greg
  14. Oh Brodie , how you have misconstrued my comment. I NEVER said it had a big future, merely that it will be a round for a long time to come. Historically its been around for over a century worldwide and as i am an optimist/realist harness racing will continue to proceed in NZ for decades to come. Thats my read , yours is different , time to agree to disagree. I will continue to invest just as others will . I suggest Bank deposits and mutual funds will give you a better return albeit with little fun. Greg
  15. Brodie and Oldwhiteman remind me of that USA 1980's climate scientist and his predictions about major cities being under water by 2005. The end is nigh albeit for different reasons according to their above posts Im a more optimistic type and think racing will survive for a long time yet. Im sure others will take the opportunity to say what side of the street they walk on and good on each and every one of them Greg
  16. The end is nigh, OWM Greg
  17. Well your not going to get a far greater return so why not look at something else bar harness racing since your clearly money obsessed. Moaning about poor returns on here is not going to solve anything except feed your negativity and obvious frustration. Are you one of those types who is happiest when they are negative and unhappy??? Greg
  18. I hope not? but good luck to all participants. Should be a good race Greg
  19. Well can show me a positive Brodie post about the NZTAB and Harness racing in general . And i repeat that's entirely up to him as to how he sees things " The end is nigh" does not register with me as it does with Brodie but as always this is a forum to debate and thus views are bound to be mixed.. Im looking forward to Ashvegas this weekend especially the 2yr old race, wink wink Greg
  20. Every investment has a measure of risk ,even bank deposits as banks do fail from time to time. Many of the Studs and AS owners will be doing very nicely Brodie as will individual owners who purchased or bred a good horse. You might want to also include those owners who have sod horse domestically or offshore. Didnt Grand Chico go for 400k Plus, a nice earner dont you think. You see things differently which is entirely your prerogative to be negative, some of us are more blue sky types. Greg
  21. Did not know you went away but welcome back all the same. Really JJ F identity can remain a secret. The only certainty is my name is still Greg just as yours is Wayne and not of the Higgs variety for obvious reasons? Greg
  22. I hate to correct you but many of the top owners in both Australia and NZ consider it just that and rightly so. Greg
  23. I know nothing apart from what he continually posts, namely "Certainly far easier ways of making money but then again it isn’t all about the cash in racing nowadays as we know. and The game is dying as the money is not being shared around and he does not bet anymore because he is limited by TAB and will not bet until their AML policy is changed. I am not in any way bagging Brodie , just making factual observations as to how he sees the game which he is entirely entitled to do as far as im concerned Greg
  24. I was told by a few breeders that BD service was lower than the figure you quoted, as with most things perhaps deals are done. Secondly , most people dont fixate as you do on the profitability or otherwise of racing horses, they already have disposable/discretionary income to spend on leisure activities. If you think Harness returns are bad then dont ever contemplate TB's Greg
  25. Standard practice these days Brodie. Some vendors never intend to sell whilst others have totally unrealistic expectations. I would have thought on balance that NZB would be happy as should most vendors given the aggregate for the 3 days sales totaled just over 12 mio. Greg
