  1. It would be commercial suicide not to insure for a promo like this. You put up the chances of getting the right combo...quite astronomical. The premium may have been 50-100k(guess)...but no insurance coy would go around again if it was indeed struck.
  2. My cynical radar leans towards marketing b/s. If they have another one for 10million it will confirm it as b/s.
  3. A big win for NACT ,that sends a message to Labour. Trying to be Nat lite is a waste of time. In 2 years will the Natz have met their election promises? Will crime be down and gangs sidelined, will interest rates and inflation be tamed, will the economy grow and productivity increase, will health and education stats improve ,will homelessness diminish,......I would confidently bet the answer to all these will be a resounding=NO! Social unrest will be a feature of this NACT Govt which will govern for the wealthy . Of course all blame for not meeting their goals will be the previous admins fault and the impact of international events. Check back in 2 years....take it to..the bank.
  4. Massive run from In Secret....from last around them down the outside for 4th. A likely rival for Imperatriz at Flemington.
  5. Probably would have been relegated in...NZ.
  6. Facts dear boy...facts...they matter.😜
  7. This WAS your point...' 'That's less than the attendance that the VRC have on Oaks Day!' Proved WRONG AGAIN....on that...you come again with a different...tack.🙄
  8. Yes VRC Oaks day attendance figures have been on a downward spiral for years now....down from 60,000 plus 5-6 years ago to...45k.🤪
  9. Probably by things like this... The Everest 2023: Peter V’landys bold dream to change racing has been realised (smh.com.au) ' Last year, more than 46,000 people attended the race – the largest crowd at Randwick in half a century – and a similar figure is expected on Saturday. At the corresponding meeting in 2016, the figure posted was 9000. Most of the crowd on Saturday will be under 35, which is the demographic V’landys has targeted.
  10. Everest has been going 6 years...its already a big deal in...Oz.
  11. ' I give it the equivalent of winning five group 1s. That doesn’t apply to all races though, no matter how rich they may be.' '“We consider The Everest to be somewhat of a ‘super group 1’,' Bester and Coolmore....what would they...know!😉
  12. You wouldn't expect it to be easy with 10mil on offer. Free lotto strike with 12 numbers.
  13. New Zealand’s TAB announced the competition on Wednesday which could see its biggest payout if someone can predict the entire 12-horse field in correct finishing order in The Everest at Randwick in Sydney. The 1200m sprint has a prize pool of A$20 million (including a winning stake of A$7m), and includes New Zealand-owned, Australian-trained I Wish I Win as one of the leading contenders. The Everest Mega Millions competition is free to enter for anyone with a NZ TAB account. If more than one entry correctly picks all 12 horses in finishing order, the life-changing prize will be shared.
  14. Sorry talking about Montefilia not Alcohol Free.🤢
  15. I guess he figures she can win a substantial amount of that in the rest of her racing career. A $2million race is a good start.Caulfield Cup ,Australian Cup type? Then her stud career X times $1mil for progeny. Has too much money..all the same.
  16. Exciting race...can't wait...even though it's not a ...Grp 1!😉
  17. Good to see,a talented jockey...speaking of...just had a bo peep at Timaru...Warren Kennedy is on...fire.
  18. Bosson back over there, riding it...and the odds on pop in the..last.
  19. Much ado about nothing. Makes IWIW 's Everest chances better....and if it prevails....it will be hailed as the best sprinter.... Look at the quality of the field compared to the Moir. I was looking at NZ's top 2.y.o contenders so far...every one of them...aussie bred.
  20. Whose responsibility is it to scratch a ...horse from a race?
  21. Why is Imperatriz still quoted $4.50 for the Everest(douibtful starter).?
  22. Oh dear independent analysis says the Natz plans will keep interest rates high and ramp inflation... ' Goldman Sachs, who have no dog in this fight are saying is that National’s economic plan will exacerbate the current inflationary pressures and push them up even further triggering more OCR rate rises and high inflation all round.'
