  1. Did the same thing in the Grand Annual. Could have been a real disaster.
  2. Sometimes its not whats in the Stipes Report, its whats not in the Stipes Report. Only 1x horse noted to have slipped but a number of slip marks.
  3. I asked the question regarding the cost as relocation costs can be very expensive, and staff not moving have redundancy payouts.
  4. Good question. What actual benefit will it be to trainers, owners for them to be based in Cambridge? How much did the move cost?
  5. Just seen on Loveracing. Talk about confusing. Seriously NZTR - how are trainers supposed to plan programmes for their horses with all the changes? How about the owners? "Hey guys lets get a carload together and head to Hastings races to see our horse? - oh hang on - its now Wanganui" Why don't you just admit most of the tracks are stuffed and reopen Foxton.
  6. Another report/investigation? They might as well use the same template and just change the track/date.
  7. So long Mr Double Dipper. With job at the Wahs makes you wonder how much he actually did on the board.
  8. Agree about the admission fee. Make it free and get people in the gate. I'm sure theyll make it up with bar sales and turnover.
  9. We are starting to look like a third world country for the state of our tracks.
  10. Book 2 wont make as good of reading. Seems to be a lot of passed in lots and a number of horses selling under $30,000. At todays costs surely some are taking a big loss. Some very nice horses though from what Ive seen.
  11. Or Foxton 🤣🤣
  12. Agree entirely. Unless the RIB is a bit more upfront, then others are going to be looked at sideways. A positive is a positive. End of. No favourites. No delays.
  13. So why not release this info when the horse in question is starting Saturday?
  14. Well put. I couldn't have said it better.
  15. Do you seriously think they will bring their clientele to race in NZ for $18,500 maidens?
  16. Totally agree. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that picnic meetings where they cater for families are the most popular. Pukekohe looked dismal. More trackside presenters than public.
  17. Inca will have a long lasting effect. Having worked with mostly non-racing people, I can tell you their opinion of the racing industry is not very good. Any concerns about possible race fixing should have been dealt with immediately by the RIU. Instead it was left to fester. Shame on them.
  18. My thoughts exactly. Why wasn't the area under constant close management before the races?
  19. Now that would be interesting. Who would they get to play Oatham?
  20. Is this what happens when ex police take over the RIB? This sounds very police state to me. What cases of serious abuse has there been to bring this on?
  21. As a matter of interest, who is on the pattern committee and more importantly, what conflicts of interest are there?
  22. Another Question. Who controls their spending?
  23. So in other words the contestable fund is really a slush fund for the RIB. Didnt they start their existence with 6 million per annum budget, then the costs sky rocketed. Who are these guys actually accountable to, or are they a law untovthemselves?
  24. That pots getting smaller by the day as more facts emerge. Who gets the call on how its getting dished up? What happens when the RIU want more money for their costs?
